Feature:
Ported bass response muddies lows a bit, but that's to be expected.

Quality:
Excellent quality. Solid feel, no rattles or loose pieces. Lightweight for its size.

Value:
hard to find decent self-powered monitors at this price.

Sound:
Very impressed with the clarity of these monitors. Most important to me: not tiring on the ears, I can listen to these all day. Mixes translate well to other systems, including consumer gear. I will agree with the other reviewers here, the low end needs help to really reproduce the entire range, but for a small room and a tight budget these fit the bill.

Support:
No need to call support, worked right out of the box.

best monitors for techno/dance music. there are other monitors more expensive than this but you will only need this ones if you expect producing techno/dance music. yes the mackies are good, but you don't have to record the whole Royal Philarmonic Orchestra if you make techno!

Very good instrument separation and accuracy on the advertised freq. range. A matched sub would be a boon to really judge the bottom end though. Hi-fi and boom-boxes keep reproducing low ends that these monitors simply cannot re-produce during the mix.
