Feature:
All that I need nothing I don't. They keep it simple with the v4. Connectivity is at a maximum. I use 2 3 foot unbalanced connection cables in my studio, but when I get to other studios, it's nice to be able to use an xlr or balanced trs in instead. Also I move my monitors a lot from the studio at which I work to my home studio and the compactness really matters. The input sensitivity is variably but recessed as to keep the level set right where you want it. The v4 also features switchable voltage for use in Europe
Quality:
The quality was a major buying point for me. I need to be able to take them wherever I am, and so far so good. The cabinets are reinforced to eliminate cabinet resonance and the enclosure feels like a brick it's so solid. The woofer sticks out a lot so you have to watch where you point them, but common sense is all that takes.
Value:
this is where these speakers accel. The sound is huge for a speaker of that size. Flipping Through the wide variety of reference monitors at my local reseller I accidentally ran across them and my jaw dropped in amazement. The speakers surrounding the v4s were all bigger but the sound from the v4 rang through as the biggest most pleasant sounding one of the bunch
Desirability:
I love the yellow kevlar cones and the finish is very pleasing. They are very practical and easy to set up and use.
Sound:
I love the v4, especially for its size. The stereo field is huge with an exciting sound that makes me want to play music and mix on them. Since they are slightly bass deficient (a 4 in woofer will do that), I plan on purchasing a subwoofer from krk in the future. These little speakers rock.
