In my spare time I play experimental electronica, trip hop, sometimes a little progressive trance. However, these aren't very popular with the mass populous, so I am forced to play house and jungle at most parties I dj at. This Korg mixer lets me switch between the two very different styles of electronica. That is its biggest asset, is that it has enough breadth to be all I need for both styles. The KAOSS pad is unbelievable. No longer are we tied to twisting a knob, we can feel the music with our hands, gliding the fx in as we feel it coming in the music. Changing the variables whilst keeping the fx slowly inching into the music. As an experimental, where you must feel the music, this is heavenly to be able to intuitively change and mix your tracks. It is not that many of these features are unbelievably unique, it is just that it's all in the mixer. I can take the mixer, my mp3 player, my minidisc player, headfones, and I'm good to go. Never before has powerful mixing been so easy.
