Sound:
in short, this is the best little drum machine ive ever seen or owned and ive owned about everything. its drum sounds are what sets it apart because they are so warm and easily tweakable, the sequencing is a breeze and getting those bad a** tracks down comes amazingly fast with little learning curve. I couldnt say enough so if your looking for a box with some really good warm sounds for House, Trance or Hip Hop get this thing, they are cheap ($) and are totally under rated, the drums blows away and roland groove box ive owned, the XL7's drums dont compare and even my XP80 cant compare. its only got 2 synth tracks but thats enought ot get a good track started or even finished. My main point, the DRUMS, the synths too are great and analogish, and i jsut got the EA1 which im impressed with as well. THE DRUMS.. MY GOD THEY ROCK

Ill use it for a while, maybe get the new electribe some tie

i was hesitant to buy something with a limited sound bank since all the other electribes are almost infinitely variable. but i was very surprised by the amount of mutability the sounds have. they are full and sharp.

i am disappointed by some performance features- you have to jump hoops to do some things that should be standard such as selecting an individual sound without turning it on or off when other sounds are soloed.

but a very good buy all around.

This unit is very user friendly and inspirational. The drums, bass and synth sounds are quite impressive and cover a wide range of current dance music styles (techno, trance, dnb, electronic, hip-hop, etc...) I highly recommend it for dance music production!

the thing with this box is that at first when you realize its limits it seems pretty stupid. but only after a long desperate lonely night of constant tinkering fueled by denial, you realize how freakin awesome this box is. its only as good as you make it.

It does have a great analog sound, and some great analog sounding waves to work with, but it offers you the ability to play just two synth sounds per part that you create. Yes, you can change sounds when a new part of your song starts in, but still. Also, it

I AM A GUITAR PLAYER BUT I USE THIS THING LIVE FOR ITS COMPACT KEYBOARD PADS. I LIKE TO TRIGGER WEIRD SYNTH SOUNDS THAT I HAVE CREATED LOOPS FROM. I ALSO USE THE KM2 KAOSS PAD AND THESE TWO 2GETHER MAKE A HARD ROCK BAND COME ALIVE.
