Feature:
The features blow all the other companies out of the water. Unlike Zoom 505 and Digitech RP, the Korg will let you adjust all parameters in the effects. It's not like older pedals where you have Chorus 0-9 where everything is already preset. You can actually adjust the speed, depth, time, mode, and mix. The only thing that would make this better is if they would have put and global EQ on it but lets remember how much it was. It's like Korg found a way to shrink a big Multi pedal down and found a way where to edit everyting with 2 buttons and 2 knobs.
Quality:
This is the pedals down fall. It's made out of light cheap plastic. It will break, the ? is when. Im 100% positive that I will have a shorted input/output jack before to long. You can modify it a little bit to sturdy it up.
Value:
Great value for the sound and control you have. It's built weak but what else could you get for $70 that has this tone and options?
Desirability:
Your friends with the tube stack will probably laugh. Just plug in and start shreding. High price equipment or any multi pedal dosen't make you a better player.
Sound:
When I fist got the pedal and looked at it I was having bad zoom 505 flash backs. I was really suprised with the range of distortion this pedal has. Almost everything sounds good and only 1 or 2 of them made you think "what's this supposed to be?" The tone for the most part is nothing over the top except maybe the US MDN mode. I didn't like the US or UK Modern amps. They both sound like hooking up 6 fuzz boxes and letting it buzz. I play Metal and hard rock, no nu metal. I like a sharp edge and want my palm mutes to chug istead of buzz and this unti works great. The noise gate works well and the cab sims. are the usual crappy cab sims. This unit is very quite overall. The effects can become great sounding if you spend enough time tweaking it. The reverbs a poor, when switching from spring, room, hall you would think it would make a differance but they all sound the same. You can get a great clean, crunch and lead sound out of this pedal. There is a small delay when switching patches but it's nothing to fret about, jamming live and no one will notice. The tuner work good and is far better than other pedals in this class.
Ease of Use:
It's easy once you work with it but becuase everything works off of 4 control buttons you have to remember what the initials represent.
Support:
Never had to deal with them yet.
Overall:
Over all this thing get's a FAT 10!!! It has it's flaws but the value and sound make's up for them and more. If it were lost or stolen I would get another one for sure. It won't replace My main rig but I wouldn't have a problem plugging it in and using it when need be.
