8 out of 10Feature:
I wish it came with a bass drum pad so the drummer can accent his / her playing, maybe a cheapo real kick pedal to hit a pad mounted low. Knowone can produce a real cymbal so what you have is good enough.
Quality:
I think I am going to wear out the hardware plastic parts, but I will upgrade myself using stainless steel and a welder from work.
Value:
The price is good for the quality, I think you could justify a higher price for better hardware, but thats only hardware, the sound is pro.
Desirability:
Sex appeal ? I dont know about that, I guess women like to watch and hear a drummer.
Sound:
The drumkit is a well thought and pre programmed set. The company really did take the time to add the small things drummers like, you can tell they used pro drummers before they programmed it. I love em ! I have been on conventional for 35 years and with these you cant beat the sound they put out, the cymbals, hi hat and bass drum foot switches that are sold with it are ok but the best set up would be a speed kick pedal hitting a pad and using real high value cymbals, from my stand point the snare, bass and toms are awsome, and no company will ever be able to produce a cymbal digitally produced, you need the real thing there. Overall, I would endorse / recommend to any drummer the ION set, the bonus is the earphones, to play where ever and when ever you want. Way to go ION ! Jim B, Atlantic County NJ
Ease of Use:
Very easy set up, tear down.
Support:
I had a bad input / output control panel, a guy from service had my question answered in a minute.
Overall:
I will upgrade myself, build up on the frame and add real high quality cymbals.

9 out of 10Quality:
the 1 thing i wish is that the set was less ridged .trying to adjust the pads to fit me can be difficult .i find my self adjusting to the set.i think the pads on a ball swivel would be better than the current style.it does fold up and travel easy.still don't have that wing nut problem solved, metal is great but to small.how about sending all new wing nuts to those of us who have a bunch of broken plastic one. the kick petals could use some work too.
Value:
all in all it's the best value on the market
Desirability:
it's ugly as h### ,but fun to play, cheap, and easy to hall around.
Sound:
sounds crisp and clean and the sound quality is much more than i expected.i wonder how much abuse the pads will take over time? the preprogrammed drums are ok,but where this set shines is being to customize each pad to fit your needs.
Ease of Use:
as far a customizing the drum machine, it's so fast and easy that it makes finding new sounds enjoyable.the manual great i think i only read it 3 or 4 times while setting up,and never had to use it again.
Support:
i have not contacted the company, but they have me warranty slip with my address. they admitted the plastic was a bad idea.the right thing to do is to send us the new metal wing nuts with having to call and complain. i doubt that will happen so i guess i'll be calling them soon.
Overall:
i be satisfied with this as long as it keeps ticking.

9 out of 10Feature:
The kit comes with everything except a seat. Don't forget to buy one. The knobs are a little brittle. I've broken two now from over tightening the the screws. Luckly they come with extra.
Quality:
The quality is what I expected. I know I wasn't buying a Yamaha, or Roland set. Thats not to say my expectations where low. It a very good kit and I'm having a blast playing it everyday.
Value:
It's a great value. I would highly recomend this kit to anyone that is wanting a kit to play around with.
Sound:
I would say the sound is what I expected. The response is excellent, it responds to heavy to light hits. I've never owned a drum set but played on my friends real sets. This is better in my opinion
Ease of Use:
Very easy to set up and use. I was playing 40 minutes after I opened the box.
Support:
I haven't needed any support for it so I'm not sure how there CS is.
Overall:
Overall I'm very satisfied with the kit and the extra drum pads I ordered.

10 out of 10Overall:
If you own the Ion-Audio 5-piece drum kit, you really want this expansion. It opens up so many possibilities. Before I bought this, I still felt like I was using a fake drumkit, since I had to trade off one tom and the ride cymbal with the 5 piece set. With these 2 pads, it really feels like I'm playing a real drum set now.

8 out of 10Feature:
You can create different "drum sets" and create different sounds for each of the pads. I owned the original Ion, which comes with 5 pads, the additional 2 for a total of 7 percussion choices.
Quality:
Came in excellent condition.
Value:
Hey, I'm no drum expert - just wanted to play along with music and "beat on my drum all day" kind of guy. If that's who you are, you can't beat this item!
Desirability:
It looks good. You have to put up with wires, but that's expected.
Sound:
Sound also depends on you amp or receiver. I plugged mine into 38 watt and the output is fine. You can also program each pad to give different outputs of volume. I set mine between 80 - 95 for a good bang.
Support:
I haven't needed any support (yet?).
Overall:
I'll keep this product for awhile. It meets my musical needs. I don't plan to advance to a higher level in drum playing.
