Every instrument in this package is truly awesome. IMO Sonik Synth 2 alone is worth the price. SampleTank 2 not only has an awesome library but will allow you to import and use your own samples or libraries you might purchase elsewhere. I have over a dozen VI's from other companies but every time I start a new session IK instruments are usually the ones I turn to first.

I ordered this package on the understanding that I wanted 'out of the box' sounds that sound like natural instruments. I'm a musician, not an engineer, and I don't want to spend half my life tweaking to get the sounds I want. I work with natural instruments and I've played in bands for about 50 years so I think I know what drums, basses and keyboards sound like.
There was no installation documentation and virtually no customer service from IK. If you want synthetic sounds you might like this package. If you want realistic sounds, I can pretty much guarantee you won't.
Musical Background:
I started professionally as a singer/songwriter in 1965. I sing, play guitar, bass and percussion. Session work, world tours.
Musical Style:
Classic country, pop, 60s soul, blues, wedding/party stuff.
