Feature:
The main feature is the paint job, obviously, but the other reason that I went for it was the EDGE II tremolo bridge. Ibanez did a really good job on designing this bridge, you can do really crazy things and always pull it back in tune. If you add a tremsetter, then you will have the ultimate whammy machine. The wizard II neck is good for shredding, but is is also good for tapping and chording as well, I like the 24 frets on it. The pickup selector holds true, you can get a stratocaster single coil sound as well as a fat humbucker sound. The string locks for the trem could be a little farther up the neck, if you do fast decending runs, you can run into the back of them with your fingers and get a few rather painful nicks in fingers.

Quality:
It is an ibanez. Thats about enough said. The body is built solid, and the paint seems to be really on there good. You might bang it up and get nicks in it, and because it is a collector's item, you probably would want to be careful with it onstage, though the paint job would look really cool live. The finish is flawless, and you should be able to get a good solid 10 years from it, at least.

Value:
Because of features and sound, I think it is a good value for what you are getting.

Desirability:
First.....H.R. Giger is an amazing artist, and this paint job is really cool, there aren't many guitars that come close to being as wild and crazy as this one, yet this has a sleek, sexy calmness to it as well. The rg body hugs you nicely, though it is just a little heavy. Beautifu work with a beautiful sound.

Sound:
The ibanez Dimarzzio infinity pickups really put out, though replacing them with active EMG's would give it even more punch and power. The solid mahogany body gives a really good low and high end, and a good middle end as well.

Ease of Use:
This category is a given for ibanez. They have been a long-standing maker of instruments that were affordable, had good sound, and were built like rocks. This RG is good in all of those. Finger tapping and other forms of insane shredding are very easy, compliments of the wizard II 3-piece maple-rosewood neck. The tremolo bridge provides very little resistance when playing whammy bar licks, and the edge design is better then any floyd rose when changing strings and setting it up. You can easily change the pickups to more punchy ones, bit I will leave them how they are. It is a standard: nothing too complicated, nothing left out that you need.

Support:
Didn't buy the guitar, so I cant say

Overall:
This guitar is amazing, and Ibanez really did a good job for someone looking to play metal, classic rock, blues, jazz, weird out-of-this-world music, and just about any other genre. The edge II tremolo really stays in tune no matter how you abuse it, the mahogany body really punches all the frequencies, and the pickups are industry standard, and the neck begs for all types of picking and fingering techniques. This would be a great first or second guitar. I expect to have this guitar for a long time. Please...If you do buy one, take really good care of it, it is a collectors item and will be worth lots of money later. Have fun with it
