Overall, this little combo amp kicks @$$. I look forward to the day that I own this amp, walk into a club, and the sound guy asks, "Is that all you brought?" Hehehe... "Um, yeah. This is it." :-) Great little combo amp. All it lacks is a compressor/limiter and a level control for the XLR output.
Sound
WHOA!! This little 10" driver is not only LOUD, but sounds good too?! WTF?! ;-) This is exactly the kind of combo amp that a real-world, working bassists needs in their arsenal. Small, portable, powerful, extendable with another cabinet, reproduces tones with only the coloration the bassist adds through the preamp section. Ibanez has outdone Markbass, Eden, and SWR/Fender with this little guy! I was playing this little dude at nearly full volume without it feeling boxy, bottoming out, or giving that nasty "woof" overdrive. Keep in mind, you bass players, you, that the amount of EQ and color that you add or take away from the signal directly effects the signal strength, peaks, and valleys. Start by making small adjustments. (psst, that was a TIP!!)
Features
Detachable head is a bit querky for me, but I see how that could be very useful for some musicians. I feel that buying a combo amp constitutes USING IT AS a combo amp. Anyway, simple EQ section is great; shelving controls for bass and treble, then 6 band graphic to get in the middle. The Vibe control totally kicks butt! Its kind of like rolling back the tone control on an old '60s Fender Jazz, where you have all the definition, but none of the buzziness or sharpness from the treble... Very cool feature! I wish this little guy had a built in compressor/limiter. It also would have been nice to have a level control for the XLR out that would run to the studio console or front of house. For lack of these features, I rated the Features as 7.
Ease of Use
Totally easy to use! Plug in, power on, adjust a couple little things, turn it UP.
Quality
Since I don't own it yet, I really can't attest fairly to the quality.
Value
This is where I believe this combo shines. There are a gob of features packed into this lil' box o' trix, and a quality driver and horn. The box seems to be well built. If another "prestigious" bass amp company had thought of this idea, and executed it as well as Ibanez has, this guy would be double the cost if not more. Looking at the grand scheme of things, I do not believe this combo amp is overpriced.
Manufacturer Support
Good experience with Ibanez support in the past.
The Wow Factor
Oh yeah, I want this combo amp.

Where do I start. I bought this amp to have a small practice amp at home. Once I played it the first time at rehearsal, I was floored. I play with a bunch of heavy sounding musicians and it more than held it’s own. The clarity and the low end are equally pronounced. After I detached the head and sat it atop my 4x10 cab I was hooked. I got rid of my peavy mini max head the same day. The tone controls are very versatile and the 6 band eq really allows you to dial in the sound you want. Haven’t had a chance to use the xlr line out yet. But the way my peavyTL-6 sounds out of this little box is just insane. I want to get another as a back up but they are so hard to find. Glad I got my hands on this one.

Being a serious musician for the past 30 years I am VERY picky with my equipment so First off let me say I have NEVER been a fan of anything Ibanez. Their guitars always sounded thin and the guitar amps always left me wanting more. But this little amp is without a doubt the exception to the rule. This Tiny powerhouse packs a serious punch. Plenty of volume, tone , and great functionality. Easily expandable, easy interface, just a home run in my opinion. I have owned many different guitar and bass amps and as far as a bass amp is concerned YOU CANT BEAT THIS AMP. I have played in some very large venues and this amp has never left me wanting anything more. Small footprint, plenty of tone and power, expandable, AND NO BIG YELLOW SPEAKER STARRING BACK AT ME THROUGH THE GRILL. Folks that's a WIN-WIN in my book. If mine blows I will buy another, I will never be without a Promethean.
Sound
Amazing tones for any style, Vibe control is awesome just a quick mid scoop. Onboard EQ who could ask for more. I have a compressor but just don't need it with this amp. Very tight and punchy already
Features
love the mute feature. great for tuning. And being able to cut the EQ on/off with touch of a button , NICE!
Ease of Use
Great amp for pro or beginner
Quality
Very well built but I do wish it came with a cover Been playing mine for two years with No problems at all. Will last a lifetime if taken care of.
Value
Worth every penny , Again just wish it came with a cover
Manufacturer Support
? never had to use them

"I have several 100w combo amps, too bulky and underpowered! My little Promethean is half the size and twice the power. If you"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I would replace it in a heart beat. I love everything about this amp
Sound
Through the 10" cabinet it's a little muffled... what you would expect with a 250W amp going through a tiny 10" cabinet. As a practice amp it's more than capable of getting you through a rehearsal with a live drummer. When you put the amp through a decent 4x10 cab or even a 2x10 it's MUCH clearer and louder. Since the head detaches with 4 screws you can mix and match your gear.
Features
I think mine should have come with a protective cover but didn't. No biggie, it's tiny but durable. There's an optional foot switch but I don't need it. It has a clean out so you can go to the board or record, there's a port for tuner out, headphones jack and MP3 player input. There's even a little bracket stand connected to the front you can extend so it leans back, I didn't even know about that til I saw it in a picture online... :)
Ease of Use
The EQ, tone and "vibe" controls let you shape the sounds pretty well, but you'll notice the control more when you pump the amp through a 4x10 cab. You can't get as much variance in tone from the little 10" cab, not that you would expect to...
Quality
They kept the cab small and light so I would not expect it to hold my car up but it seems very solid. I'm careful with my gear so I expect it to last.
Value
This amp is pricey, but it's a combination of so many things, I think it's worth it. 1) tiny, ultra-portable practice amp that can still keep up with a live drummer 2) detachable 250W head that sounds great through a larger cab, 3) Bright and warm tones with a singe dial, plenty of EQ options, 4) MUTE switch, why don't you see that more often!
Manufacturer Support
Have not needed support, sorry can't say
The Wow Factor
Very high, it looks like a toy 35w amp until you crank it up and really get noticed. Soo easy to carry around and versatile sound, I just love this thing.
