"AMAZING!!!!!!!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE. FINALLY A GUITAR THAT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU GOT THE BETTER END OF THE DEAL."

Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this guitar. I know I could have spent twice as much for a solid top Taylor, Martin, Gibson, Guild guitar that sounded maybe a tiny bit better but the difference isn't worth the extra dough considering how much more beautiful of a guitar this is and at more then half the cost. Do yourself a favor and make the smart decision. You will not regret it and this guitar makes you want to play more then you ever have...
Sound
This is a larger classical style guitar with great amplification. The Cocobolo wood gives this guitar great sound. Cocobolo is one of the most well rounded and respected woods used to make a guitar. It is a heavier wood compared mostly in tone to Brazilian Rosewood. It handles a wide spectrum without any flat spots all the way from bright highs, through clear mids, to solid lows without being boomy.
Features
The onboard electronics seem easy to use although I have not plugged it in yet. It includes treble, mids, and bass EQ as well as a notch filter and master volume. The onboard tuner works well and is easy to use as well as a huge convenience. The 1/4 and XLR outputs provide great versatility as far as outputs. It's very nice to have both when you need it from past experience. The gold tuners hold the guitar in tune as well as provide a great finishing touch with flashy pearloid knobs. The abalone inserts around the soundhole, on the fretboard, and headstock provide an upscale appearance without being overdone like some of the other guitars I've seen.
Ease of Use
It has great action but is a little larger than guitars I've played in the past.
Quality
This guitar feels pretty heavy but not overly heavy. It makes you feel like you have something that was well made and the construction feels top notch for a guitar in this price range. Seems are very clean and the finish is glossy without looking fake or taking away from the natural appearance of the wood.
Value
Bar none this is the best guitar for features, appearance in this price range. Try to find a guitar made from Cocobolo with onboard electronics, gold tuners, and abalone inlay in this price range. I dare you...
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use it yet but the folks at Zzounds have been great...
The Wow Factor
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GUITAR I'VE EVER SEEN. BAR NONE!!! PEOPLE STARE AT IT AND DROOL WHEREVER I GO AND ALWAYS ASK WHAT KIND OF GUITAR IS THAT? WHO MAKES IT? WHAT KIND OF WOOD IS THAT? THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE!!!

"Well-crafted gem"

The more I play this guitar, the more I like it. It's going to take me a long time to find the limits of it, if I ever do. I chose this because I wanted a cutaway acoustic-electric. I have an acoustic Taylor which I love, but I thought I'd try this because of the special markdown. I'm very happy that I did.
Sound
Responds evenly from bass to treble. Not a huge sound when not plugged in, but clean and sweet. Awesome when amped.
Features
Very well set up. Bridge has that 11 degree angle up to a sharp edge where the strings cross. Nice tuners. Good scale. Built-in tuner is ok, but I prefer my Korg. This would be handy when performing, though. I wish there were dots right on the fretboard and not just on the side, but I can get used to that, I think.
Ease of Use
Neck is very comfortable, and the action is sweet.
Quality
One minor ding on the finish, but that's why I got such a good deal on it. Hardly noticeable. As I said, it seems to have used top end parts all around.
Value
Yes, worth the price.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed any.
The Wow Factor
Very good looking.

"Great guitar for the serious home player or a local performer. Produces the bright highs and warm lows that make acoustic playi"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I dont think I will every get rid of this baby. Might have to get another guitar for camping - the EW40CBENT is too nice to subject it to that abuse.
Sound
I was first attracted to this guitar due to its looks which are stunning. Then when I played a few chords, the nice bright upper tones with warm bass resonance was just what I was looking for.
Features
I really like the 1/4" and XLR outputs. Great versatility. Also like the onboard notch filter, feedback is always an issue with acoustics and this ensures minimal trouble. Also the tuner is great, especially since it turns off the output when tuning (ie you can tune/check without everyone else hearing it).
Ease of Use
Mine was sitting around a store for over a year. At first it had a bit of a buzz on the 6th string. Had a tech tune it and between some minor nut work, a different size 6th string, and lowering the action, it now plays great. I hear some complain about having to have a new guitar tuned, but for $15-20 to have it adjusted to your specs, it isnt a big issue.
Quality
I have no issues with construction. Very solid guitar that has a very durable finish. Just a gorgeous instrument.
Value
I got a great deal on mine new, so the value is outstanding. I would still be happy if I payed list price!
Manufacturer Support
Owned for over 2 years and no issues so no idea about support.
The Wow Factor
If you like the look of wood, you will fall in love with this guitar. Every single person who sees this comments on its beauty. Seriously, every single person. Its that nice. And then to hear it play un-plugged it fills a small room nicely. Plug it into an acoustic amp {I have used a Marshall AS50D and Acoustic AG60) and it will fill an auditorium easily.

"play amplified before buying"

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Very disappointed. Although it looks pretty good it doesn't sound all that good. Thankfully I have other quality guitars so I'll probably use this for times we're outside and concerned might damage one of my quality guitars. If this one were to be damaged, I wouldn't have a stroke and I most definitely would not replace it with another Ibanez. I can see why the Ibanez company doesn't list a direct phone number you can call. Ibanez - never again!
Sound
Very disappointed in this guitar. Bought just on looks (stupid). Electronics didn't work on first one received and had to send it back at additonal cost to me. If you've ever played a quality guitar, you know right away this sound doesn't even come close. Recommend play before you buy.
Features
Like the built in tuner and how it mutes guitar when you turn it on for tuning.
Ease of Use
Playability not great, action high and had a buzz on the 6th string which was very noticeable when amplified. At an additional cost had to take this brand new guitar to have a tech do a complete setup/neck adjustment. Although after adjustments made it played easier, the sound quality did not improve. The manual is a joke and explains very little. TRS cable did not work in the 1/4" input as advertised only worked with regular guitar cable. XLR cable input worked.
Quality
First guitar I received electronics didn't work. Obviously not checked before shipping and there was not the usual "inspected by" card you usually find in the packing and forget trying to contact Ibanez cause there's no direct phone number or email to tech support.
Value
Although the guitar looks good, the quality of sound is not worth the price you pay for it.
Manufacturer Support
When my first guitar didn't work, I wanted to talk to a tech rep. No numbers or email in the owners manual. I went on the Ibanez website but ofcourse they have no phone number or email address on their web page so you can't talk to a tech rep.Unable to resolve the problem, had to send it back at an additional shipping cost to me.
The Wow Factor
Guitar looks good and literature makes it sound like it would be good but play it first.
