I have used mine for four years now. This pedal has always made my sound, with almost any amp I have tried it in to. The voicing control gives a great range from soft bluesy (midrangy) OD to more distortionlike (V-shaped eq) Marshallish rock overdrive. In few words, all that I need. And this pedal does it well and good sounding! Still, a brightness control wouldn't have been bad, but a guitar's tone pot can do a lot on that. Tube replacement was good to do after short usage, the original was of a cheap brand.

I've been using this pedal exclusively for over
2 years. This is the only pedal that I haven't
ripped off my pedal board after 2 months. It's
replaced TS-9 Reissue, Real Tube pedal, Blue Tube Pedal, original Marshall Guv'nor,..etc.
I've tried other boutique pedals but this one
sold me. To make the pedal better: two eq
and vol/drive control sections. Works for single coils and humbuckers.

this pedal gives your amp, in my case a jazz-chorus a very good blues and high gain sound.
not good for metal but very good for rock and solo's with lots of sustain

Quality:
SOLID AS A ROCK, never let me down. and is very roadworthy. hughes & kettner are great i have no doubt in my mind this will last me a looooooooong time. my dad has his equipment from 20 years ago and its still perfect

Desirability:
its ggreat

Sound:
the sound is absolutly amazing, quality and everything. it just makes everything i do sound ballsy, balls to the wall but your head off in your face distortion, perfect for any metal head(especialy 80s). and then you can get a real sweet crunch out of it. it sounds amazing live as well as recording. pretty versatile. im using this pedal with a crate blue voodoo 120 watt tube head along with an 80s rocktron inteleverb effect processor(screamin set up, esspecialy for a 17 year old). its verry easy to use so just mess with it a lil bit and ull find what your lookin for

In my never ending quest for tone I had to try the H&K Tube Factor. I bought it here but am going to return it! Sounds terrible!!! Very thin sounding and toneless. I play a strat with Van Zandts through a Peavey Classic 50. I tried for hours on end to get a good tone out of it but...I will now try the Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde.
