Sound:
Top quality at an affordable price. I love this guitar. It's just so much fun to play. Great roots/surf twang off the bridge pickups. Nice fat crunch off the middle and neck pickups. Very versitile guitar. NOT just for country/roots. Even sounds decent when it's not plugged in. When was the last time you could use a "whammy" with your acoustic? You can't go wrong with this guitar and you can buy it without saving up for a year or so.
Feature:
While I absolutly love this guitar, the tuning pegs/machine screws are cheap. The guitar stays in tune, but they are just thin, cheap, and look out of place on such a finely made instrument. The Bigsby is terrific! I know a lot of people complain about the clear pick guard. It's a pick guard people. Remove it, replace it, or stop complaining. Personally, I don't have a problem with it. Should come with a case though.
Ease of Use:
No mysteries with this guitar. I'm a novice player and I had no problem with this guitar at all. It's terrifically easy to play. Very versitile and forgiving.
Quality:
This is a relatively lower cost guitar right? You would never know it from the quality. Just terrific from top to bottom, (with the exception of the tuning pegs). Yes, it's made in Korea. So is your car. Stop worrying about it. You can't go wrong here.
Value:
This guitar is a tremendous value. Sound, quality, looks, it's all there and for under a grand. I own other, higher priced, guitars. But this one is the one I play more of ten than not. Fun and inspiring.
Manufacturer Support:
No experience.
The Wow Factor:
I am biased as I own this guitar, but I gotta say the thing is beautiful. I own the hot "country orange" and it's a damn fine looking guitar. Sounds even better than it looks.
Overall:
Love it.

Sound:
I'm a bass player and I bought one...but really loved it when my friend came over and player it like it should be played! The sound is great very full and yet switching from strumming to picking does let the sound get buried.
Feature:
Super and I too agree the tuners had me stopping for a minute...they are thin...would like a bit heavier cast set of tuners.
Ease of Use:
The sound I get - is the sound I was looking for...and the ease of playing finished off the sale!
Quality:
Tuners...pickguard minor issue...clear?!? What's up with that!!??
Value:
Not cheap... but a good instrument.
Manufacturer Support:
N/A
The Wow Factor:
Sex appeal...not to me! But eye appeal...100%
Overall:
I will keep it. I would only get another guitar that offers a different body and tone.

Overall:
I actually bought this as a gift for my fathers 60th Bday ...picked it up and played it, then promptly bought another one because there was no way this one was leaving my grasp !
Sound:
First,I've been playing a long time, over fifty years, this is a Gretsch gentlemen,I own forty four guitars, ranging from Fender,Martin,Gibson, and of course, the Rolls-Royce,Gretsch.It was and still remains the ultimate sound of the fifties early Rock"n"Roll, after all I should know,I am the guy that started The Chevelles and The Echoes, and still perform.
Feature:
The guitar was styled after the 6120,which has been referred to as the Eddie Cochran,Chet Atkins,Duane Eddy, and lets not forget my good friend,Brian Setzer, guitar, need I say more.
Ease of Use:
It's a Gretsch man,if you know how to play this is the one for you.
Quality:
The luthiers that made these guitars are the best in the business, the woods are selected for durability, the work that goes into each one is way beyond the comprehension of a wood worker, these people are artist, they are built to last, and yes,I own twelve, from the 6120,5120,5122.
Value:
This is a yes,it is worth the money, and they will never loose value.
Manufacturer Support:
The company is now a part of the Fender Guitar company,in California, they are very helpful.
The Wow Factor:
Chicks dig guitarist, especially when they have a unique looking guitar, Gretsch offers that and more.
Overall:
My first Gretsch, bought in 1959 is still in primo condition, does that answer your question?

Sound:
This really is a sweet sounding guitar. I'm not sure what strings are stock on this guitar, but it would seem that nice fat strings are a good idea. They turn this thing into an excellent acoustic/electric. This plays as well acousticly (with larger gague strings) as any of the acoustic/electric hybrids I have tried out.
There is a little bit of a flaw with the electric sound (to my ear). I had read that the newer version of the Electromatic had a Bigsby, an opaque pick guard, and hotter pickups. I am not sure that I got said pickups on mine, even though the pick guard and the Bigsby were present. It is a great great, mostly acoustic sound from these pickups. I was hoping for a rockabilly guitar from the electric side of this thing. I wanted high end bite that could cut diamond. What I got was a warm acoustic/electric sound, which is beautiful. Still, think twice about this one for a treble end bite, rockabilly sound. It could probably be improved with some high end strings that were thin gague and bright tone, so I wouldn't rule it out for rockabilly entirely. Those in the know might be able to settle the dispute here, but for me, it was a small disappointment. If I use it for some Reverend or Zippers, I am going to have to turn up treble and volume on my amp, probably replace the strings with a heavy low, twangy high variety. Separate Compression and Reverb pedals might be help tone and sustain as well.
Feature:
11 - for the Bigsby. This is hands down the best tremelo I have ever even heard of. You cannot knock your guitar out of tune with this thing. Well, maybe you could, but you'd have to be doing on purpose. You can even trem a riff of bar chords with this thing, and it will not go a cent out of tune.
Rest - Two volume knobs, one for each pickup. Master tone knob. 4th knob is global/master volume. All function well. Guitar stays in tune excellent. Laquer top and hollow body make for a nice bright acoustic sound. Neck is interesting. I don't think it qualifies as neck-through, but it does not have an obvious joint either. Plays great, action is easily adjustable, frets will buzz with low action, no surprise there.
Ease of Use:
Yep, if you can play a guitar, you can probably play this. Only note is that the neck nut width is slightly wider than your more 'playable' electrics. It's just a bit more like an acoustic nut width. I have stubby fingers though, and I have no problem playing this thing.
Quality:
Yep, excellent stuff. Really pretty. Really functional. Really well put together. Excellent quality materials.
Value:
This guitar is fabulous for what it is. It is not however overly versitile. I you know you want this sound, it is a great value. If you are thinking of the sounds of other hollow bodies you have heard, you may not get it here. This instrument, to me, doesn't have the drive and tone and sustain of a 'Lucille' blues guitar. You will not get the punch and bite of whatever The Reverend plays or The Stray Cats. And of course, this will not do for a metal, hard rock guitar at all. Could be suitable for country or surf sounds, if you can get the treble up. All in all, a good value, but there are a lot of things that a hollow body guitar can do that this guitar just does not do to perfection. It can probably be tweaked to suit most music (save hard rock/metal), but it would be a little one dimensional. If you tweak it for jazz, it isn't going to be good for blues. If you make it sound rockabilly, it will lose some of its best acoustic properties. etc.
Manufacturer Support:
Benefit of the doubt - didn't use.
The Wow Factor:
Okay, there are not many people who are going to be impressed by a hollow body Gretsch. Still, if you are playing The Stray Cats or something, you are going to look hot to those in the know. The sunburst on this one is my personal choice for appeal. Orange and Maroon shades are not bad either. Personally, the clear pick guard really takes this things sexiness down a peg. I would get the newer one if possible for looks. The Bigsby actually looks cool as well, like it's from another era. Overall though, I don't think people are going to get this guitar. A nice hot Les Paul being an everyman rock-n-roll standard woul probably get my 10 in sexiness.
Overall:
You want it, and you have a good idea what you are getting into, you buy it, you be happy. This is an outstanding guitar. It doesn't do absolutely everything you would hope for right out of the box, but I think it can be made to be a lot of great things. It's pricey for something that sounds like an acoustic electric when you first plug it in, but it still sounds great. I am sure I can get more twang or cut or bite or drive out of the thing. It's just going to be a matter of what I want to do with it, how flexible I want the sound to be, and finding out the true limitations of the guitar. Only iffy iffy point will be finding out if those pickups just really aren't hot enough to get the high end sound I want. It will be a great guitar regardless, but the question remains as to whether I have to buy another guitar for high end twang and bite that won't quit. I may have to look at single coil solid body like a Tele or split coil hollow body, if they make one.

Sound:
The sound I heard when I played the G5120 was by far the best music that my ears had heard in a long long time.
Feature:
I think it is adequate. I love knobs and switches, the more the better.
Ease of Use:
I fell in love with it when I saw it, I fell in lust with it when I played it.
Quality:
I checked this guitar thoroughly, have not found any at all.
Value:
I always thought that Gretsch guitars were out of my price range from previous experiences. When I saw the price of my G5120SB I immediately bought it and I'll never regret it. I will purchase another Gretsch soon.
Manufacturer Support:
I have no issues as of yet, So I can't rate them.
The Wow Factor:
I don't care about sex appeal, what I love is guitars and making music.
Overall:
I'll keep it forever. I've always wanted one, now that i've got this Gretsch guitar I'll never part with it.
Sound:
sounds like it's upposed to. no complaints there.
Quality:
not great on the quality. raw wood very apparent, especially at the base of the neck near the sound hole. looks cheaply made. clear pick guard adds to the cheap look.

Quality:
I wouldn't say its the best made guitar? are the worst? Its a very good (guitar/value) guitar!
Value:
yes this product is worth its price.
Manufacturer Support:

The Wow Factor:
I bought the orange, and its looks damn good !
Overall:
The reason i gave the guitar a 9 instead of a 10 is because you can't find a hardshell case for this guitar anywhere? the ones you do find, that will fit? cost almost as much as the guitar? Its crazy!!
