This is by far the best sound and tone from an acoustic I've found! Nice features, but not all the gaudiness from more expensive models. This is my favorite instrument, hands down! Great feel, wonderful woodgrain, a true guitar lover's instrument. The Fishman pickup really sings when plugged in! I simply cannot say how wonderful ths guitar is. The sound and tone speaks for itself! All I can say is-Go play one!!!(everything you would expect from Gibson!)

When you compare the quality with similarly priced Martins, the Gibson wins by a wide margin. The woods, finish, and sound are clearly superior to any Martin under $2,000. Some Taylors are comparable in sound and playability, but their materials & finishes just don't measure up.

Feature:
It has solid woods all round. It is solid and well constructed. Solid sitka spruce top, solid indian rosewood back and sides, african ebony fretboad and bridge with mahogany neck and pearl inlays, grover gold plated tuners.

Quality:
It has a slightly orange peel clearcoat on the back. There is a knott in the front sitka spruce. Apart from those things which don't affect the performance it is well made and solid as a rock. There were not body construction faults.

Value:
I got this for the same money as a Maton and less than a D28 Martin. I'm laughing. This is so well appointed compared to the others.

Sound:
This guitar has the gibson sound. Has good projection and is very balanced whether strummed or played fingerstyle. The fishman transducer is very good and brings out the true characteristics of the instrument. D'addario EXP-16 strings 12-53 are best.

Support:
I gave a five as I don't know what the Gibson factory support is like. Australia is a long way from Montana.

Overall:
Should something happen to this instrument I would try and buy another. I also like the smaller body L-130 Gibson for fingerstyle playing.

I currently own a Guild and have been quite happy with it for some time. But I played a Gibson Songbird and now I'm lusting after it.

I tried it out in a soundproof room and made comparisons with other guitars... Taylors and Martins, included. I LOVED it. Beatiful easy action and gorgeous sound. She ain't just purdy to look at. She's called "Songbird" for a reason. I'm looking forward to owning one in about a half a year.... after I open a seperate savings account to save for it. But I'm SURE it will be well worth the wait.

Quality:
Good Gibson quality. I'm happy with trim detail.

Value:
Bought it used. Would have paid more.

Desirability:
I very pretty slightly non-traditional design. A small more ornate guitar that is not in the stratosphere in price.

Ease of Use:
For some reason this is a really comfortable quitar. I picked it up and haven't been able to put it down.

Overall:
I don't really understand why yet, but I love this little 00 size quitar.
