"A GIBSON 335 AT THE PRICE OF A LES PAUL....BUT WITHOUT ANY SACRAFICEIN TONE, PLAYABILITY, OR VERSATILITY....SURELY TO MAKE LOT;"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

NO REASON TO REPLACE IT....I WISH I COULD GET A TWIN TO THE ONE I HAVE. I PLAY IT MORE THAN MY VINTAGE ONES.YES I WOULD REPLACEIT IF IT WAS STOLEN. WHAT I LIKE MOST IS IT IS A BLUE COLLAR GUITAR AND I AM A A BLUE COLLAR BLUES MAN I LIKE EVERYTHGING ABOUT IT AND HAVE A CALLS 5 QUILT TOP ..ONLY DIFFERENCE IS LOOKS !!!! OH YEAH AND THE EXTRA 2 GRAND FOR THE QUILT TOP.
Sound
The tone of this 335 due to the satin finsih IMO is better than my black and other colored 335's that all the pores of the wood are filled. I bought mine when they first came out and instead of a matte finish mine is more of a trasparent finish and the wood grain is wild and looks gorgeous and I beleieve just like when the Bealtes sanded off the finish on their Casino's I beleive tis guitars gives off more tone than more expensive models. This IS NOT a BASEMENT MODEL you are't paying for the top, I could care less what they look like it's what they sound like and how versatile they are tonally and this is...from classical to rock to the BLUES it is perfect. Alone or in a power trio it stands out, recording it sounded great and when i used an OPEN G tuning for slide it was fantastic. AS soon as you get this guitars put oin BUMBLEE BEE CAPACITORS and change the strings to DR PURE BLUES 11'2 and it gets evern wamrer and shrper in it;s attack. Changing the post is apersonal desire. I use a a 65 DELUXE REVERB AND PRINCETON to play through and a 66 AMPER REVERB ROCKET...HEAVEN !!!!
Features
I like that fact that this guitars is bare bones......this way the player can modify ot to there specs and tonal requirements. Everything on it is perfect and you can pick and choose what you want to upgrade, but as I see it a BONE NUT
Ease of Use
FALLS INTO YOUR HANDS, like an old pair of slippers on your feet after ahard days work. A decent tube amp and a good cable and you;re ready to go no need for pedals to get GREAT TONE. VERY PLAYABLE....only problem may be for shorter guys and guys with short arms...I would suggest a 339 or 336 for those people. overall this is a great ax !!!
Quality
Mine as I said was ordered before the public knew they were even comoing out so it is the 10th one made...usually the first few hundred are made better....well the red one a l year later is just as good. NO PROBLEMS, but then again with 37 GIBSOIN'S in my arsenal NOT ONCE have I need the WARANTY !!!! I always have a back up.....you better if your income is based on how well you play. Worst aspect......NONE !@!!!! ONECE AGASIN THIS IS NOT A DISCOUNT 335....the only major difference is the MAPLE TOP, machanically the only differenceis the KLUSON TUNERS vs GROVERS...SO I expect it to last as long as I treat it like it deserves to be treated wuith kindness and preventative maintainenece.
Value
YOU CAN:T GET MUCH THESE DAYS QUALITY WISE FOR THIS PRICE.....SO I WOULD CALL IT A TEN as far as a good deal/
Manufacturer Support
GIBSON CUSTOM SERVICE 1-800-4-GIBSON CUSTOMER SERVICE 24/7 ----365 !!! WHAT MORE CAN YA ASK FOR !!!??? My upgrades are simle BUMBLEE BEE:S CAP'S and different strings, strap locks and change from covered pups to a set of 57 classic ZEBRA:S
The Wow Factor
WHAT ELSE IS COOLER THAN A BLACK GIBSON.... A BLAZCK HARLEY, CORVETTE MERCEDES BENZ????? BEING BARE BONES, IT IS NOT THE CENTER OF ATTENTION WHAT I DO WITH IT IS !!11!

Sound
sound is great. better than most guitars ive ever played.
Features
my guitar didn't come with anything.
Ease of Use
it is very playable. a little tweek and now the actin is so nice. Easy to get great sounds from it. picks up every little noise.
Quality
it is very reliable as i no it wont break unless its misused. very solid build and the guy that ownz this guitar has had it for a couple years and says that it has never had any problems like wires comeing unsoldered. he says he's never had to do much eccept clean her and change the strings. it wood be great for the rode if handled with care. eccept its a lil expensiveif something tragic happens
Value
this guitar is definatly worth the price. In the long run they'll probably end up gaining value
Manufacturer Support
i never did my frend did. he says theyre real cool. and no alot about guitars
The Wow Factor
it looks very origanal. it depends on the person though. some people like the crazy looking v's with weird colors and some people prefer that older original big looking guitar. The guitar reminds me of a wize old man. I like it.
