"My Favorite Guitar!"
I love guitars. V's especially, And this one is set up just right.. so this one is likely to remain my favorite for as long as I live...That being said, I will surely get others...It blows that Gibson's are getting more and more expensive each year. I seems like they have really gone up even more in just the last few. Otherwise, I would like to get an SG and a Les Paul. I also would like at least 2-3 Fenders.
Sound
The thing sounds as dope as it looks...the sound is really no different than other V's...its all the same pickup wise..So if you like the V sound, you will dig this...It is my first Gibson, and I have been very happy with the tone compared to my other guitars.. I have Fender Strats, a Carvin and a Martin..
Features
I love the entire setup of this guitar! My wife asked all of my friends what guitar I would most want before buying this for me...the all did good! I have always loved V's but the finish to this one makes it one of the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. The way all the chrome looks against the two tone paint is sweet! Much better in person than in pictures. The grover tuning heads add to the look, it just wouldn't look right with out them. The case was really nice too...much better than the ones that came with my Fenders and Carvin.
The only change that I would make would be to have some nifty crome covered pickups instead of the exposed ones...otherwise I can't think of any "wish list" things that were missing...and it really doesn't need that....
Ease of Use
To my personal taste this rocks! I know, only one tone knob...but that is all I need to get the sound I am looking for...
I love the neck shape, fretboard width, and the spacing of the strings and frets. The action was set perfectly from the factory. It just feels better than My strats.
Quality
Only MINOR complaints here...trust me if you saw the things I am going to bring up in person you would say that I am a nit-picky A-hole unworthy of such a nice guitar...but here it goes...
When you look at the tuning machines from the back of the head stock one seems slightly crooked. There is a small area where on the first fret on the edge of the fretboard that someone got a little sander happy with at the factory. The ebony fretboard is nearly totally black, except for one small part on the second fret...it is a slightly lighter shade...nothing that bothers me, just observations. Otherwise it is perfect...Solid guitar that holds tune...
Value
I think my wife got a killer deal...I think she paid $1200...that is way less than the normal V's this year...even that "worn cherry" finish one has sky-rocketed in price.
Manufacturer Support
Very shortly after I got it the pickup selector switch went bad...The company had me take my guitar to a local authorised repair shop...they fixed it quickly...the only bummer is that from the factory the switch is installed in a way that is impossible to replicate exactly when repaired...this made it nessisary for them to instal a small washer between the new switch and guitar. you can hardly see it, but I know it is there...again, just me being picky.
The Wow Factor
Just sweet...getting rid of the pick guard, adding grover tuning machines, the ebony fret board and the two tone silver burst paint job make this thing look insane...I don't think the odds are good that I will run into anyone else that has one.

"Can't go wrong"
Overall sweetness.
Sound
The sound of this guitar just brings '84's wonderful overdriven guitar speed to a new level. It is wonderful with anything, really, but it sounds like a great heavy metal/hard rock distorted sound.
Features
The ebony fingerboard is always nice. I think that there could be more, perhaps another tone knob. Otherwise, the features are everything that was in '84, that's for sure.
Ease of Use
Gibson makes the best guitars. Their neck is always extremely easy to move on, and I have no doubt this is no different. The playability of this item is outstanding.
Quality
How could you go wrong with a hand made gibson guitar straight from Nashville?
Value
I definitely, from reading about this product, think it is a top quality Gibson V.I would pay $1,500 for this.
