Music Style: I love music, period. I guess I'm a metal guy at heart, but as long as I can play guitar I love it!

Sound: Unbelievable. EMG pickups sound amazing on all distortion, overdrive and clean. Amazing. Feature: Can't complain. All controls on the guitar are very accessible. Much better than the standard explorer. Ease of Use: My fingers fly on this beast. It is like no other guitar I've ever played. Quality: There was maybe one tiny hairline crack in the finish. It is of highest quality construction - almost never goes out of tune. Value: At 1300 this thing is a steal! The Wow Factor: The most beautiful guitar I've ever seen. The alpine white alone sets it above its peers. Overall: I can't find a guitar I'd rather play. This is MY axe, and I love it.

Sound: Overall great. Sounds great by itself (clean) or through my Dunlop crybaby wah pedal 535-Q, Boss Metal Zone MT-2, Boss Phase shifter PH-3, Boss Digital Delay DD-6 and my Marshall amp. Feature: I like the EMG pickups! Ease of Use: Action is awesome. Quality: The product is well made however,you can see the wood grain in the paint finish. Also, there was a spot of ink on the face of the guitar when I opened the case. I was able to clean it off. Manufacturer Support: Gibson was easy to reach and very informative. The Wow Factor: This guitar looks and sounds incredible. Everyone says "WOW"!

Sound: This guitar needed minor tweaking, but that aside sounds great Feature: simple and to the point. the way i like it. Ease of Use: this thing is a monster. Quality: i've read a lot of reviews about how there were issues with these guitars. i guess i got lucky and found one to perfect. otherwise feels like a gibson to me. Value: i got the guitar of my dreams. what kind of price do you put on that? Manufacturer Support: haven't had to use support on this or my other gibson. The Wow Factor: this guitar is just beautiful. come it's an 84 explorer w/ no pick guard. Overall: i think for now this will be my final piece for awhile...

Sound: Anyone whose ever played EMG's knows their power. This guitar is no exception. With the mahogany body and ebony fingerboard, the sound is immaculate. Pure Metallica, pure heavy metal. Thats all I have to say. Feature: Nothing much to say. Its simple, clean and clutter-free. Unlike the standard explorer with the pickguard and the selector switch located in that area, this one is a breeze to handle. Ease of Use: I would do nothing more to this guitar. It is perfect just how it is. Quality: Gibson = quality. I have nothing more to say. Value: Worth every penny. Manufacturer Support: I havent contacted gibson about the guitar after owning it. I have no reason to. Like I've said a bunch of times already, its perfect. The Wow Factor: As soon as I knew this guitar existed I wanted it. I am a die hard Metallica fan and James Hetfield is a God. This guitar is my baby. Overall: This is the last guitar I will ever yearn for. Well, maybe an ESP MX 250..hehe

Sound: The sound is absolutely amazing. Ive only played it for a couple of hours but it is defiantly well worth the money. But thats just my own taste. If you are looking for a guitar that plays great for rock, or metal and the look to come with it, this is defiantly the guitar for you. In my opinion the Explorer is a great live guitar because it sounds great and looks great plus its a lot easier to play standing up because it is a little bit uncomfortable. Just take for instance James Hetfield from Metallica, he has been using the explorers for over 15 years, so you know this guitar is a true piece of beauty and sound. Feature: There were really no features on the guitar which made it look the way it does which I really like. I absolutly hate how the pick guards look on Explorers, its better off without one and who cares if it gets scuffed up, it just makes it look like its been used by the owner. Ease of Use: I really didn't mess around with any effects while playing it but I would imagine it sounds good with almost anything you throw at it. Quality: The guitar wasn't made 'that' well because the owner said he had some problems with the neck warping and the paint was really starting to come off and you could see the wood grain but I didn't really mind but it was a bit of a problem. Value: This guitar is definatley worth the money, I am going to buy one very soon now that I have tried one out and you won't be disappointed. The Wow Factor: Its absolutely stunning, 10 out of 10 Overall: Buy one
