Low noise and high output for incredible response and sustain. Fender/Lace Sensors continue to be some of the most popular pickups to date. Each color represents a different sound. Gold is the classic Vintage Strat sound with glassy bell like tones (used on the original Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy Stratocasters). Silver is like an overwound Strat pickup with added midrange harmonics and bass. The Blue is warm and loud like an old 50's humbucker. Red is the scorcher with high output, lots of midrange harmonics, and crunch like a hot humbucker. Learn More...

9 out of 10Quality:
I dont know if pickups can "wear out" , but I have no doubt that these will out
last the body and neck of my Stratocaster
Value:
Compared to similarly priced offering from other company's, these win hands down in the value department. I've heard EMG actives are the best pickups of the single coil variety, but price wise, the Lace Sensors blow them away.
Desirability:
Very attractive white covers with paint color that matches each pickup. I purchased a pearloid pickguard along with these two pickups to modify my guitar and it's beginning too look very, very cool. Many compliments.
Sound:
Not as crytal clear and glassy as stock fender single coil pickups. These are clean, accurate, slightly compressed, with more sustain and less noise than stock pups. It is in my opinion, the end all, be all of single coil replacements and the best pickups on the market today.
-The Red Lace Sensor is biting and aggresive with a bit more of a humbucker sound without losing the single coil bite and attack. Very nice for hard rock with medium-high distortion.
-The Gold Lace Sensor is shimmery and transparent without being noisy. It sounds very good in the neck position and you for recording, is just about as good of a pickup as you will find.
Overall:
I don't see a reason to replace these pickups ever. They likely wont wear out or bread and they produce exactly the sound I've been looking for in my recording rig. I'm satisfied and would recommend them to other single coil strat owners as a replacement for your current stock pickups.
