Feature:
Cool onboard EQ. The strings it comes with s@@k.

Sound:
This guitar sounds great when plugged in. It is not a true accoustic so you can't expect it to sound that good unplugged.Everyone always says the accoustic sound isn't that great but that's only when it's unplugged. I absolutuely love the amplified sound. It's beautiful. What do people expect from an unplugged guitar with such a thin body.

Overall:
I absolutely love this guitar. Not only does it look cool. It sounds good unplugged and great plugged in

Feature:
Would like to see Fender offer effects or even answer the line six modeling challenge. If this guitar were equiped with similiar technology, I belive it would outsell the variax. The Classic Four from Fishman is suitable for my purposes.

Quality:
Very new, and to me quality is best judged after some time has passed.

Value:
Was looking at similiar offerings form the other major companies. This fit the price point/bang for the buck the best for me.

Desirability:
Classic lines, great shiny color, I specifically wanted something that was "like a strat" combined with something "like an acoustic"....That is exactly what I got at a fair price.

Sound:
When used as directed, this guitar sounds super.

Support:
Never delt with Fender. But then again, I never have had a need too.

Overall:
Time will tell. We're off to a very good start.

Feature:
the onboard eq. the cutaway on the body to allow ease of access to upper frets. the strap-knob input.

Quality:
i've had mine for about 3 years. cracks developed where body and bridge meet but doesn't affect the strength or sound. tuff otherwise.

Value:
i pay more for it a couple years ago then what you can get it for now and it's worth it.

Desirability:
it's inspiring to play. it's a new way to make a guitar. I can plug it in direct when recording on my digital and get a decent outcome.

Sound:
you can compare it to an actual solid body electric...it's alittle flat when you play it without an amp(but it does do the trick), but when plugged in it's onboard eq allows you to play in a broad span of full, powerful sounds.

Overall:
it a nice instrument to have around.

The first time I layed eyes on this guitar i knew i had to get it. It wasn't as big and bulky as most acoustics and you can play 21 frets on it which is unusual for an acoustic. I liked this for my Metallica solos. It's thin and yor arm doesn't get tired from playing a could of songs. It's not the best acoustic sound but it's good enough for the price. When it's plugged in it's great. I have only had it for 2 days but i love it. Stays in tune good. Thats about all i can say but it's well worth the money.

I think this guitar has been given some bad press by some people who are not seeing things as they should.
True enough, it does not have the best acoustic tone. However if you want something to sit quietly on the porch at night or on the beach with that special someone, this may be the guitar for you.
If intimacy is what you seek, buy this guitar. The price can't be beat. You get more than you pay for.
I also own a Danelectro Convertible. It is also within this price range. If I had to choose one of the two, I'd spend those few extra bucks and get the Stratacouster simply because it's a much prettier and better made instrument.

I have a White one, paid 199 for it a month ago. I wanted it for a practice guitar, and travel type guitar. Yea it sounds like a toy when it isn't plugged in but once it is it sounds fine. Personally I like a little wider neck but the rockers should love this. After all it is a Strat. Playability is plenty good enough to practice on and being a little tougher makes your fingers appreciat your good stuff. After playing the Fender and then playing my ES135 Gibson or my 1990 Limited Washburn Edition Just makes you enjoy the finer things a little better. I wouldn't buy this for my only guitar, but as a first guitar to learn on it would be ok, or a practice or travel. Oh yea,I been playing for about 38 years.

Fender hit the nail on the head with this guitar. Great tone w/o pickup and plug it in and see how sweet the built in fishman classic 4 preamp and pickup sounds. Plus smaller size is a plus for travel or carry about. Offers steel string sound and electric size. A great guitar if I've ever seen one.

Replaced the [poor] plastic nut with a bone one I made and junked the cheapo plastic saddle with a compensated TusQ I installed...also shaved down and shaped the astonishinly over-built X-braces and WOW! what a great sounding little acoustic that is a blast to play. Put some nicer Gotoh tuning machines on to get rid of the marginal chinese-cheapies. Nice on-board electronics...does quite well when plugged into my MesaBoogie Studio22+. Don't quite agree with the off-axis, oval sound hole...really detracts from the look.

That wonderful fender neck coupled to a user friendly, tuck-in-your-lap body. LOTS of fun to play, especially plugged in to my Honeytone and bopping around the shop.

I replaced the stock nut and saddle with off-the-shelf TusQ nut and saddle and she really sounded much better on acoustic and way better plugged-in. A bone nut is in the future, 'cause she deserves it.

Everyone that walks into the shop picks her up and starts playing. She just attracts players.

Get one, you'll love it!
