Theres no comparison, this is the guitar to have for the money.
Sound
The EMG81's are truly devastating. It plays quick, sustains forever. The tone is just amazing. I've played a lot of guitars, but this one for the money blows away everyone. I just dont see how anyone could spend thousands more. Its an awesome deal.
Features
All the included hardware is solid. The EMG81's are absolutely sick for shredding.
Quality
Awesome high quality finish, beautiful inlays, and its just plain sexy.
Value
Can't beat it. The hardware on this thing almost adds up to the price, let alone the cost of the body.
Manufacturer Support
Dont know, no problems with my guitar. So I would say the support is great because the hardware is so good you don't need any.
The Wow Factor
Its ultra sexy. It screams guitar god.

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I expect to be satisfied forever with this, it is the best guitar i've had/tried, and i tried many. I wanted the ESP before i even came into the store to begin with.
Sound
The sound is awesome. EMG's are the best pickups i've ever had. I've read the other reviews and i think thier clean tone problem is that the amp needs at least a 3-band EQ, and that needs to be set high and equal, like all 7's, or you get distortion on the hi's and lo's.I had that problem and now it sounds awesome.Another thing- i've heard active pickups only functions well on solid-state amps(no tubes, it works, but it makes the tubes die faster or something. That doesn't effect me I have a GX212 by Behringer<- good stuff!!
Features
I, myself, like 2 or 3 knobs b/c it gets too crazy w/ 4. some say 4 knobs is more versitile, thats b/s. Besides that, the guitar is really cool looking and sounding, I love those neat flag inlays, and the head to match. also it comes w/ an earvana comp-nut, that works great for several things in tone. the emg's can work with any music style. the neck is real fast and has 24 frets. The grover tuners keep it in tune for weeks, and when you do tune they are soo precise.
Quality
This product is amazingly durable, i got the STBC finsh, looks hot by the way. The inlays are great, on one guitar i have, an af75 by Ibanez, the inlays are poppin out and curving backwards i had to crack them and re-glue them(btw that works pretty good)has anybody had that problem? well anyway i haven't had it on the EC.
Value
I'm afraid everytime i tell someone how much it was before they see it, they think its actually worth like 550 bucks, while Gibson is making a guitar with the same pickups and materials for 3800 bucks.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't dealt w/ them yet, probably never will, they did give a lm lifetime warrantee so ill give'em a 10.btw check out thier site> www.espguitars.com- it's nice, while your there look @ all the artists that are endorsed. I think Atreyu has a lime green EX-400, same features, different look.
The Wow Factor
when I went looking for a new guitar i ate through the the entire store, my range was like 400 to 700 dollars, The ESP's were in the back but i always liked them B/C i like screamo and hardcore. so anyway i checked out the fenders, never really liked them but my parents insisted i checked out everything before i jumped to buying what i came for. I was quick w/ the Gibsons b/c they only had like two decent guitars in my range. I finally made it to the ESP's and bought this guitar. My decision was between this, an IBZ iceman and the viper 400, another fine instrument from ESP.

I think that this would be used for years to come in my personal studio.
Sound
I have been doing a lot of research on the guitar and I finally got to touch one today. (even though I had to drive an hour away) I thought that it sounded great. I am going to buy it very very soon. the only thing that sucked about it was the strings that come on it, they felt like super slinkies or something, and personally I think ernieball strings suck, but with the right strings I feel this guitar will sound beautifull.
Features
I too think that it needs a fourth knob, because I am always playing different kinds of music, so I am always looking for different sounds to come out of one guitar. and for the EMG pickups, I think they are great. I have a bass at home and I changed to EMG's because of their sound. I also play it through a MESA BOOGIE caband I think that even though it is simul state it sounds awsome. even if i shut off the parametric EQ.
Quality
from the looks of it on every website that I saw it on, it looks like it would be a toy, and not an instrument. But when I played it today, I got very excited about how solid it is. I would believe that it would take a lickin and keep on tickin
Value
I think that it is great for the price, but it needs that extra knob and maybe fifty bucks cheaper
Manufacturer Support
???????????????????????? never had to deal with them
The Wow Factor
All I can say is I would be more excited to have that on my lap other than a hottie stripper at the nearest hollywood club

I've owned several Esp/Ltd guitars and basses over the last 20 years. I always wind up coming back to this series.. This plays like an EC-1000 model.I only gave the 3 star rating for sound because I'm not an EMG guy. In this, they sound ok, but not the sound I look for

Value
Definitely worth the price. No need to upgrade pickups, tuners etc so keep that in mind when considering the price.
Manufacturer Support
Never have had to deal with support but I assume it would be a great experience.
The Wow Factor
I got the see-thru black cherry and it is a stunning guitar. Both the guys and the girls think it is a great looking guitar.
