I've used this pedal for many years out on the road as a volume pedal for keyboards. They are virtually indestructible. I do hate the dang pan switch, but I like having stereo. I also have another volume pedal that's a different brand and it's a total piece of cheese.

this thing should have tanked long ago. i cannot explain why anyone would accept it the way it functions at half volume mid-pan.
Sound
The device is fine as a volume pedal, however, it fails as a panning pedal. In the pan mode, at middle pan position, the volume is reduced to 50% in each amp! WHY? it makes zero sense. A pan knob and a balance knob do not work like that, so where the idea that half volume in mix position is a good thing strikes me as an odd engineering descision. I bought a morley pan pedal that functioned normally: full volume from both amps when in the middle position. Why is the ernie ball stereo volume pan pedal accepted as the industry standard? When i contacted EB about this they responded that the pedal was designed to work that way...buy one and find out for yourself. If someone could please explain the logic of that pedal, i would appreciate it.
