"Right for RIVERA Clubster 25 Doce"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
My Rivera came with a Celestion Seventy / 80. After breaking it in I was satisfied with the clean tones using my Les Pauls and Teles and Strats. But I could not get the overdriven sounds I was after from the drive channel. I wanted a Plexi-to-JCM 800 tone but it was elusive through the Seventy / 80. I picked up a Wizard based upon my experience with one in a Blues Deluxe and I'm very satisfied with it in my Clubster 25 Doce. The cleans are wonderful-like listening to angels striking perfectly tuned bells..that's the tone from the clean channel. On the overdrive channel the Wizard just screams MARSHALL with the mids at 8-10 and the bass / treble at zero. I know it sounds crazy...but the Wizard is articulate with a perfect balance on the overdrive channel, with those tone settings. I love this speaker and would recommend it. BTW the Clubster pushes 25 watts using a pair of 6V6 tubes. The cab is open-backed but I have no issues with cone cry as some have mentioned. The Wizard's efficiency make my amp much louder and super sensitive to guitar volume/tone controls as well as pick attack. It perfectly compliments the Rivera, which has a super sensitive preamp. To me it's the perfect choice for the Clubster and I love it in the Fender Blues Deluxe as well. A keeper, for sure.

Was looking for a speaker to help tighten up the lows on my blues deluxe reissue. I shot an email to Eminence about what I was looking for after checking out multiple brands. Got a reply quickly from Anthony the "tone guru" recommending the Wizard. I went with it and glad I did! Flub lows are gone the whole sound is balanced and sparkles. Cant wait to get more hours on this speaker, the more I play the better it sounds! And for the price, you can not go wrong! Get one and you will know.

Sound
Very much like the Governor, but lacks the punch and depth of the governor. Decent speaker but when compared side by side with the Governor, the Governor wins!
Features
Very well made speaker. Typical Eminence quality.
Ease of Use
No brainer here!
Quality
Made in the USA!
Manufacturer Support
Seven year warranty and built like a tank!
The Wow Factor
Not a bad speaker at all, but what it gains in the mids and tops, it just ever so slightly lacks that bottom punch of the Governor.
