Sound: Sound isn't too bad. This is my first, but it seems to be O.K. Feature: A little on the simple side. Color could be more exciting. Strings could be a little better. Craftsmanship for the price is O.K. Quality: One cosmetic blemish with mine when arrived. Probably due to shipping. Perhaps if the box was labeled "FRAGILE" when shipped, they might not toss it around the way they do. Value: For the price this is a great little starter. I was between the Rogue and this one. The Wow Factor: Again the color scheme could be a little more creative. Overall: I will probably be searching for better sound quality before stepping out in public. I have had my Dean for 3 weeks now and already I can tell that this is a beginner/practice piece. And I'm a beginner.:) Sometimes feel the sound is a little flat.

Sound: The only thing that feels good on this bass is the neck. I had to remove both the volume and the tone knobs because of poor connections. This bass became a junker and something that's sitting in my garage in pieces. If you get this bass its a good starter but don't expect it to play like anything remotely decent. Feature: Soap bar pick ups were junk and I'm waiting on new pickups to give it the thump needed. Ease of Use: So this bass is pretty much junk except the neck. If you play anything from the very basic to the very extreme the neck feels smooth as butter. That's the only thing I love about this bass. Quality: It came with blemishes and was poorly constructed. This bass is the back up to my back up bass. I just don't trust it. Value: Its a good starter bass. Keep in mind I would have much rather saved up a touch more and bought a squier to start on instead of a dean. Manufacturer Support: Never worked with em so why not give em a 10? The Wow Factor: Its a bland black guitar. You play metal you most likely have a black instrument lying around, not to generalize to much. But this is the bass I'd see most metal players on. To me its boring, it needs some color. Overall: I am currently redoing this bass. I have added a 1962 fender jazz pickup, converted it to a fret less and am redoing the paint. All in all, if it wasn't for the playability of the neck I would have already roasted marshmallows over this thing.

Feature: The image is just awful and should be changed by changin the colour or add lighter areas on top of the dark.
