10 out of 10Feature:
I would give a 10 if it came with one or two spare foam mouthpieces, and if the microphone could be made to fit back into the case without having to loosed the adjusting screw and loosen everything up to fit the case, etc.
Quality:
I would have given it a 10 except that the adjusting screw siezed up a few weeks after owning it. I don't use it much, and it certainly doesn't get put through a rough regimen, so I should not have had to dissasemble the adjusting mechanism in order to make it work properly again. Since then, however, it's been working fine.
Value:
Considering what you generally have to spend to get a good quality microphone, I think this one offers good value for money. Naturally, I wish it were less expensive (I think almost everything is too expensive) but it does what it was advertised to do so I think it's good value.
Desirability:
Sex Appeal? Zero.
It's clunky. It's definitely not one of the more streamlined headset microphones out there. But...it works, and it works very well. So I don't care that it's not....sexy?
Sound:
I really can't fault the sound. It reproduces the sound of my voice perfectly as best as I can tell. What I especially like is that I can sing into it and not get those annoying pops when the words start with a P or a B, etc. And the bass is clear, not boomy or muddy, etc.
Ease of Use:
Cons: none.
Support:
Don't know. Haven't had to deal with that aspect yet.
Overall:
The only issue I have with this product is that I occasionally trip on the wire. Otherwise I'd have given it a 10 (am considering a wireless version).

10 out of 10Feature:
I play keyboards and it is very comfortable to me instead of trying to lean into a mic. It does not get in my way.
Quality:
Very durable and has a great sound!
Value:
This product is diffently worth the money - that why I'm buying another! I have to places to perform - so I bought another just not to be moving the other around!
Desirability:
This works for me - I've seen Janet Jackson with this model, and I was surprise on how inexpesive it was! I sit at a keyboard and it works for me!
Sound:
I just ordered another headset, because the sound is just awesome! Very clean and clear! This is one of the best microphones I have - I have some sennihizers and have tried of course shure - hands down this is the best microphone that I have had, now I'm looking for the equavilent in a handheld. Very impressed.
Ease of Use:
Just fit it to your head and your own your way.
Support:
I haven't had a need to call support because the product was perfect.
Overall:
I play almost 3 times a week with the microphone and sometimes everyday! This is very durable. This meets all my goals!

10 out of 10Feature:
The headset fits my big head comfortably, though it doesn't reduce down for easier packing. The mic comes around right in front of your mouth, which allows for no feedback, even when you're very close to the speaker. However, some may find it distracting. As a solo performer who expects lots of laughs, I liked the fact that I could reach up and increase my volume simply by moving the mic just a little closer to my mouth and it would stay in place.
Quality:
The new ones have a windscreen that is there to stay. After 1,000 shows of haphazard packing I tried flying with my Crown headset and somehow lost the connection. But I abused it in packing MANY times and came out okay.
Value:
In short, if you don't mind the large windscreen, you'll get GREAT sound and dependability.
Sound:
Has a great low end! I have to warn the sound techs to be ready for the bass coming through. The highs are also clear, but not tinny. Nice and clear!
Ease of Use:
Once you've adjusted it to a comfy fit you're set! I used mine in over 1,000 shows and only had to readjust it once or twice!
Support:
Had to replace the old style windscreen with a new one. Easy to deal with.

10 out of 10Feature:
Features are excellent.
Quality:
This is my second one that I've had. Although I think that the first one I had got damaged from me messing with it so roughly, I don't think that was crown's fault in quality.
Sound:
This microphone is one of the best out there. One of the most important things to me was that the microphone be as comfortable as possible. It hasn't let me down in that factor. I was so pleased after about 2 weeks. I use it for karaoke and its excellent. Thank you so much crown!
Overall:
I hope this product to last for at least 4-5 years. I've already owned it for about 1 1/2 to 2 years. I can't wait to see how much more use I get out of it.

10 out of 10Feature:
Never have you used a mike with better gain before feedback: one of the principle advantages of this microphone. You can play games and see how close you can get to the speaker with the volume cranked; lots of fun. The microphone headband is designed to be permanently bent to the shape of the user's head, so you can't trade it from one user to the next, but it fits better than one you can trade.
Quality:
I had to re-solder the cable a few months back, but that's after 4.5 years of use, which is a very long time for a headset's cable to last.
Value:
Excellent value for the price
Sound:
I use the CM311A both for my voice and for my various wind instruments (recorders, tin whistles, Incan flute) and it works excellently for both. It's a bit noisey, so not best for recording, but certainly not a problem for live sound. It has excellent isolation from external noise.
