Finding a tuner for an extended-string bass can be a challenge but this is a definite solution.

I have a Stick Enterprises 8-string Stick Bass(TM), and the TU-12H works nicely, even though I have to tune my low B string from the 12th-fret harmonic. This is just the thing for folks with 10- and 12-string bass instruments.

The tuner acquires even low pitches immediately and the needle meter translates into accurate readouts.

Feature:
great features when they work

Quality:
Worked well at first but go crazy now just trying to get a good tuning. Acts like the battery connections go in and out but checked and they are good. VERY annoying and will not buy another or anything else BOSS makes.

Value:
Is it worth anything if it wont work?

Ease of Use:
poor instruction manual

Overall:
Buy something that is reliable

Feature:
It's tuning functions are fine but once it breaks, who cares how neat the features are. They really cut corners mounting the jacks on the circuit board. If you're going to plug into this, it will break that much sooner.

Quality:
Piss poor construction. Everyone I know who has one has had problems with the jacks coming loose from the circuit board. It can be resoldered, but not infinitely. I finally trashed mine last night, and WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER ONE. If you gig with it, DO NOT RELY ON IT ALONE. What kind of a deal is it if you have to buy two anyway?

Value:
High priced for something guaranteed to break. It's like home exercise equipment--they don't expect you to use it, so it's built cheap.

Desirability:
I will never buy another one again, and am reluctant to touch anything BOSS makes. It's a good tuner when it works, but until they beef up the construction DON'T BUY IT.

Support:
It's cheaper to replace than repair this piece of plastic.

Overall:
When I first bought it, I was in heaven. Tuning was a snap. Once the jacks went out, it became a nightmare. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE.

Feature:
Not really all that useful by modern standards. Less reliable than many of the cheaper ones and it breaks all the time to boot! I'm pretty sure mine was having problems the minute I brought it home, but BOSS is useless and not helpful and would not stand behind their product.

Value:
It's hard to even give it a 3 when it is constantly broken, shoddily made, less useful than cheaper tuners and customer service basically laughs at you when you expect some help with the piece of crap they conned you into buying.
