I did a lot of research before taking the plunge into a tube amp. For me this was a fairly expensive piece of equipment, but I figured this would be a great way to showcase the sound that emanates from my new 2017 Gibson Les Paul HP. When it showed up at my doorstep I could not wait to plug it in. When I opened the box, I found this amp to be very high quality in the materials and workmanship. When I finally did plug it in and plucked the strings of the all mighty Les Paul, all I could do was smile.. This thing had so much warmth and clarity in the clean mode and the dirty channel had that vintage crunch that you would expect from a high gain tube amp. I could not be happier with my purchase. Thank you zZounds.

This amp head is very versatile, as I use effects pedal board though the clean channel. The 50 watts are more than enough!!!! I play a mix of worship music to metal. Great amp highly recommend

I have to be straight here, I was really looking for a 100 watt head. To replace my Marshall. So I thought I would be disappointed with the power. So very far from the truth. If anything (technically lower wattage) the relative volume seems so much more than the Marshall. With a much more versatile and complex tone. It will sound different, if for no other reason than the differences in tubes. Tone, is always the most important factor for me and most guitarists. I have to say that, after one practice with this head (with matching 2x12 cab), I will likely never buy another Marshall again. The HT Club 50 allowed me to cover everything from Zeppelin to Metallica, Coldplay to 5 FDP! And, covered the tones quite well. Sound was professional, smooth & clean. Plenty of power to keep up with the Bass players MONSTER stack & my other guitarists Twin Reverb (75 watt tube). I must say, we had a good practice, made super by my newest addition to my family my Blackstar HT Club 50!!! Since this is not my first Blackstar (I have a lower wattage HT for home) I had a little motivation to purchase another Blackstar, I was NOT disappointed.

Not just a Blackstar owner, I'm now a Blackstar fan! At first I was not sure if this HT Club 50H would have enough power to complete with the 100 watt'ers I've been using for so many years. I was so wrong! Not only tons of power to keep up with my drummer, but, such great tone. If you're already a Blackstar owner you'll be familiar with the controls and the outstanding ISF tonal control. The head gives a great amount of control over the tone shaping & super hi-gain tone. With switches to control the type of gain to help you better match a whole range of styles, it also offers a switch for clean tone as well. Super versatile for almost any type of music you could dream of. So if you are either playing covers or your own originals, you can really get "The Tone in Your Head"... LOL, funny but, so true. This is NOT my first Blackstar & I'm positive it won't be the last!!!
