Sounds great! The factory sounds are sweet and its so easy to tweak and get just the right sound. I'm thinking of getting rid of my Mesa Boogie and getting a clean power amp, speaker and use Vamp as the preamp. Another cool thing is it comes with a footwitch for $199. Can't beat it. I tried the Pod and that sounded great too but this little guy had some better sounds, footswitch and carring case for less. BTW all the leds are really fine.

The only cons I find with the unit is that it has a plastic housing (POD is alluminum) and it doesn't have a mic stand attachment capability like the POD. The only other thing, sound wise thats a little weak is the stereo depth of the flange/chorus/phaser fx when playing clean guitar sounds. I wish it had a little more depth and presence. However the distorted guitar sounds including the effects sound out of this world. A truly wonderful little box!

The unit seems to be an excellent value. Ofcourse for live gigging I'd carry a back-up as the roadworthiness of the device has not been proven. Dialing in precise tones from a tabletop is nice,(no bending over). Everthing's lighted;no wall wart; included foot patch switch; it seems someone at Behringer wanted to do guitar players a big favor. You keep thinking,"what's the catch". Perhaps this is the product to induce brand loyalty and they make their money on you later.

I'd owned the thing for a few months and then one day, I was playing it, and it just stopped working. I hadn't done anything differently, it just stopped. I've taken it to several guitar stores and nobody's beern able to tell me whats wrong. Luckily it's still under warrenty. But what a pain in the ass, I have to send it away now. Overall, it's an excellent product, except for the breaking for no reason thing.

if she only had a digital out and wasn't made of plastic, she'd be all 5's, but then she'd probably cost more and would shoot the whole thing out of the water.

nice, fat distortions.
better combination of effects than POD, ie. compressor plus chorus.
effects are rack quality.
user banks are easy to mod and save.
cabinet is a l;ittle light... should be diecast!

I'm an owner of POD and my friend bought V-amp recently so I had a chance to compare them. POD sounds obviously better, sounds more realistic and sits better in a mix. Behringer is half price of POD but sounds are much like immitation of POD or J-station, 2-dimensional and lacks a detail. Personaly, I was suprised that V-amp sounds like this (lot of "great cheap box" reviews) and , moral of the story is; not belive what you read in magazines or anywhere else. Go to the music store and hear it for yourself.
