Its powerful new DSP engine lets you add multi-band, program-adaptive compression and limiting for both low and high frequencies while at the same time remaining absolutely 'inaudible'. No matter if you want to increase the loudness of your mastering recording or double the loudness of your PA system without adding more amplifier power, the DSP1424P is the perfect tool. 10 out of 10Feature:
I tested all of the on board features and each of them performed very well. I was especially impressed with the 3-D Surround Stereo Width Control as it gave my mellower tunes a very warm and spacious sound.
Quality:
This Product in my opinion is of sound construction. All of the Parts fit well and they have a tight solid feel while maintainig ease of operation. I would take this unit anywhere and use it with confidence!
Value:
Dollar for Dollar, the seemless perfomance of the Ultramizer Pro far exeeds its selling price!
Desirability:
If the Ultramizer Pro was a Woman, I would want to take her out again and again! It's a great addition to my Home Studio because it has the ability to sweeten up my music, make it fatter, and enhance loudness through my monitors without jacking up the levels on the Channel Strips and as I've said before, it will be a major Tool in my mastering operations!
Sound:
I had absolutely no idea how much drive this little unit would have on my studio monitors! I had to lower all of my Mixer,Stereo Buss, and Monitor Contol levels on my Recorder to keep from blowing the Speaker Cones off of their Frames! All of the Features on the Ulramizer Pro were well above my expectations and it will be a part of my mastering operations.
Ease of Use:
The Ultramizer Pro has has some pretty sweet sounding Factory preset modes and it is easy to experiment with making my own adjustments with just the push of a Button and rotation of the Jog Wheel! The Instruction Manual is easy to read and understand and it allows you to start operating almost immediately while minimizing the learning curve that i've experienced with some of my other Devices.
Support:
My unit is only a couple of months old and so far it has not given me any trouble. I hope that in the future if service or repair becomes an issue,Behringer would be just as efficient with Customer service as it is with making a great product.
Overall:
I've checked out other products prior to purchasing this one. Many of the other Manufacturers units are good and are of high quality. However, many of the other units seemed a bit pricey for what they had to offer. If something happended to this Product, i.e. lost, stolen, or just plain old and too tired to work anymore, I would have no problem with purchasing another one as a replacement. I like this Product!

7 out of 10Feature:
Stereo Widener: makes your music sound excellent. Can set it from "0" (no widening) to "100" (extreme widening)
2 Band Compressor: Bit overkill and can cause "pumping" but you can turn it down, sounds good when just a little compression is applied
Hard Limiter: Works perfectly, no pumping. Your audio will never ever exceed the level you set it at.
Exciter / Low Frew Booster: Can set the frequency you want to extend and how much by, very useful to achieve a mid-cut effect
Quality:
Looks solid and the resolution of the display and LED's is very attractive & bright
