"Behringer Believer"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
i will probably use this as my stage and recording amp unless i somehow aquire milliosn fo dollars, and can buy all sorts of neato gadgets, but i will always be a behringer believer.
Sound
This amp has a great range of sound, with teh shape knob on the second channel, you can twist the sound every which way. The ultrabass gets pretty farty and grumbly on the low E, but its sounds great on the higher strings. The best part is, you can crank all the volume knobs all the way up, and it doesnt break up or distort at all, btu if you want soem extra growl, just use the shape knob, and eq up the low and the mid-low. The direct out is really noisy though, maybe if it had a groudn lift it woudltn be so bad. but overall, its a great amp.
Features
nice little footswitch, for the two channels and the ultrabass. 4 band eq, TONS of I/O. pre-amp out, power amp in, RCA conectors for external sound source, Direct out, line out, headphone, tuner out, speaker out.
Quality
Solid as a rock, and it looks great, i took it apart and it even looks nice on the inside. i was lugging this thing aroudn one day, carryign it over my head, and i tripped and dropped it, from about 6 feet up. i was scared to hook it up again, but when i did, it still worked, and ive still been using it since.
Value
for 250 bucks, i ain't gonna argue. woudl i pay more for it? probbaly not, cause then i woudlnt be able ot afford it, lol. thats why i love behringer, quality stuff, low price.
Manufacturer Support
don't know. they've got a nice website.
The Wow Factor
i love the way it looks

"What a smokin' little amp!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

This is a great amp for small/medium size gigs situations and rehearsals. I love my Hartke 4.5XL but was it heavy to carry on my own. This amp has taken it's place for rehearsals.
Sound
This amp sounds great!
Features
The amp came with a footswitch to toggle between channels. The Ultrabass (octaver) feature is really cool sounding.
Quality
This is a solid piece of work. The retro knobs on the front are kind of cool.
Value
You can NOT beat this amp for the money.

"Honestly, I think this comobo will PUNCH you out!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will use this combo until it breaks or blows up! To be honest it really is going to depend on what is out when this thing breaks. I would not mind lokking into the higher end Ashdown amps. But I don't even need anything like that.
Sound
The overall sound of this amp is pretty darn good. You can shape the sound to a very warm tone or turn it around to a crisper true to life tone of your bass. Trust me, this bad dog can get loud! I would highly recommend that behringer think about installing a better speaker for better clarity and maybe a tweeter for better highs. The highs can get pretty muffled out but with some tweeking, the workstation can fix some of that. It would still be nice to have a tweeter though.
Features
I love all the in/outs to this combo. Definitely not for BIG gigs but this thing can hookup to anything you throw at it. For your BIG gigs it would definitely get by as your monitor(very loud). I particularly enjoy the ultrabass feature, you have to tweek it some to get it just right, and when you get just right, it sounds sweet.
Quality
I am very satisfied with the end product. They most definitely thought about all the little details. My #1 peive is loose knobs and this combo does not have that. I love that!!! I do not worry about this thing breaking. I've banged mine a little more than I would like, but that's life. This thing would hold up against any other brand hands down. I would love to have another one as a back-up!
Value
No other bass amp combo can compare to the price of this one. The closest is probably the Fender Rumble 100 but I played both side by side. Simply but, the fender was only about $40 more and I still chose the Behringer.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to contact the company, but I did go back to the dealer to exchange my Ultrabass BX600 to a Ultrabass BX1200. I needed more sound and features.
The Wow Factor
I do really enjoy how this combo looks. The bottom line is it really does complete the setup for me, considering it is a tiltback. I can use it as my monitor.

Sound
GREAT SOUND QUALITY...I BELIEVE IT WOULD WORK WELL FOR RECORDING AS YOU CAN COLOR THE SOUND IN A TASTY WAY WITH THE ULTRA BASS EFFECT AND SHAPING THAT GIVES IT AN EXTRA NICE QUALITY..I INTEND TO USE IT IN APPLICATION SOON. RIGHT NOW I AM USING HEADPHONES AND LISTEN TO TUNES WHILE I WORK AND USE THE COMPUTER. I CAN PLAY ALONG WITH ANY TUNE THAT STRIKES MY FANCY PLUS IT IS A GREAT WAY TO PRACTICE AND LEARN NEW TUNES!!!
Features
SOME NICE FEATURES.
Quality
I DO NOT KNOW WHERE YOU CAN FIND AN AMP THIS GOOD FOR ANYWHERE NEAR THE PRICE...ITS HAS TO BE THE BEST I HAVE FOUND....THIS LITTLE AMP CAN KICK SOME BUTT. I LIKE THE ULTRABASS FEATURE...WHICH IS MUCH LIKE AN OCTIVE PEDAL BUILT RIGHT IN...GIVES IT A LOW PEDAL TONES EFFECT WHICH HAS A SHAPING CAPABILITY. I PLAYED WITH A GUITAR PLAYER JUST A DUO FOR A GARDEN PARTY EVENT WITH NO VOCALS AND THIS AMP FILLED THE AREA BOTH GUITAR AND BASS GUITAR USEING THE TWO IMPUTS WITH NO DISTORTION WHATSOEVER. ITS A LIGHT EFFICIENT LITTLE AMP THE CLOSEST THING TO A 5 STAR RATING I HAVE FOUND.

AS I HAVE SAID THE VALUE IS A BIG PLUS WITH HIS AMP

"Bx1200 bass amp with aluminum cone 12" speaker"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I,m a 45 year veteran bass player. I,ve owned 5 or6 amps in that time and this will likely be my last. I was really looking for a smaller amp but something. that would support my 5 string fender sound wise. Frankly I,m very impressed. No B.S. The sound is there and I,m quite surprised at the amount of solid volume it produces for a 12"speaker. I of course would not recommend this for a heavy type of group--- let,s be Realistic but for most groups that play within tolerable volume limits this is great and wonderful for recording. I paid $200 bucks new for this amp and have owned it about three years. I only wish something like this was available 45-50 years ago when you could barely find any bass amp under $425 . Great value!

"A great little Amp!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I have had this amp for two years. It has held up well. I have used it alone in smaller venues, filled out with the out xlr through the PA mains. It is very powerful for a small amp. It is heavy, so make sure you've eaten your Wheaties before lugging it up stairs. I use it daily for practice and love the tape in (I connect a zoom drum machine which is way more fun than a metranome to practice with or else a mp3 player to play along with something I enjoy). If it were stolen, I would rebuy this amp. For larger places I use my Ashdown 4x10 mag 300 combo. But when I can get away with it, I will take the Behringer because of its size and portability. It sounds great with my Washburn Force 4 and Boss Gt bass pedal. If you are looking for a great little amp... this is it!

"If your skint and need a reasonable amp you cant really go too far wrong."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have read some contrasting reviews, as an engineer I will pull this amp apart and check the build quality, theres no doubt that this amp does somthing well and it looks the part, and for the money you cant really complain, will it last not so sure..It suits my pocket at the moment and I have no complaints
Sound
Fair range of sound given the price, shape and Eq usefull, Ultrabass is crap gimmick..no problems so far, 8 on gain and the full range of volume, if your really pushing teh E string with the EQ set bassy at top volume you find the limit. Definatley punchy Im using a P bass clone and I am an awful player makes me sound better !!
Features
Good Eqm, Shape is good, second channel is nice , well made cab, ive read lots of comments about plastic jack sockets and cheapy controls, all I can say is that Marshall use plastic on the AVT 100, the knobs seem to do the job if they were metal or somthing that would just be cosmetic.
Ease of Use
No problems understanding how to use this its straight forward, plug in turn it up , sort EQ and shape then annoy neigbours
Quality
It looks good it sounds ok, it appears to be well made from a carpentry perspective ,beyond that only time will tell,my hunch is that at this price the failure rate may be higher than other makes. You will either get one that lasts trouble free or run in to trouble in the first 6 months, if I got 18 months Id be happy based on price ..it certainly passes muster. You will allways get what you pay for there is no escape.
Value
Definately worth a punt cheap as chips....
Manufacturer Support
no experience
The Wow Factor
It has a certain visual appeal

"Great Combo. Very Flexible, Loud and with more features than I need."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Im happy with it for now! I can't see into the future. Im very gear hungry, so im sure something else will catch my eye down the track. If it was stolen I would be extremely p#$%ed off. Im a black belt in karate, so if I found the person that stole it I would pull their arms off and beat them to death with them. If i lost it i would beat myself to death. Like i said im gear hungry and like to experiment with new things. For this reason alone I probably wouldn't replace it. I would give something else ago. Nothing against the amp though :)
Sound
Its pretty loud and the 4 band EQ gives you plenty of control over your sound. Not sure about the Ultrabass...Pretty strange sound. I turn it on sometimes to amuse my friends then promptly turn it off. The Shape feature however is very cool.
Features
For the price, this combo is crazy. More features than you can poke a stick at! Works for studio, live whatever... I won't list them all here...im sure you would have looked at other reviews before mine. In short, this amp is very functional. I sometimes pull the speaker out and run my Gallien Krueger off of it. This speaker is 8ohm compared to the 4ohm amp, but i don't push it too hard. I don't really understand impedance etc...Im a bassist not an electrician, but im sure it would be better if the ohms matched!! Another bonus is the included foot switch. Thanks Behringer!!
Ease of Use
How hard can an amp be to use? Plug it in and play it. Tweak the knobs a bit...all pretty straight forward. The manual has all the info you need when plugging in external bits. Simple stuff.
Quality
Seems to be built like a bit of a tank. It only really has short trips in the car etc...but im pretty impressed with the build. No ugly blemishes or loose bits. I only play with mates etc, so if it shats itself then we just go home...No need for a backup in my situation. I have never had this happen yet.
Value
Features, Shape, Build Quality, footswitch, free sticker (yay). Im very happy with the value of this combo.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with them, but I have heard they are pretty slack. For the price I don't really care. Its lasted a long time now, so if it dies I have got my $400 AUD worth out of it.
The Wow Factor
Well it kinda looks like a combo amp... Its not vintage or anything, so if you prefer that look, then its probably not attractive. I quite like it though. My Bass is a pretty modern bit of gear so a modern looking amp matches nicely. The fact that you can tip it back like a monitor speaker is very nice!!

"Great amp for the money- you are out doors you wont be disappointed.."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I would buy onother one of these units, it is fuctional, loud, and portable. If I continue with more outdoor concerts I would consider more power and a 4x10 or 4x12 enclosure.
Sound
the sound is pretty good. It doesn't compare to the clarity of some other systems i've used, 500 watt into a 4 X 10 cabbinet, but then I don't expect it too. It is portable and loud enough to be used on all but the largest stages. for the money this is fantastic- I use the built in bass maximizer for when I am playing on the higher strings to keep a low tone running -its pretty cool.
Features
I like the EQ portion and the bass maximizer to dial in the paticular tone I want. I also like the two channels on a foot switch I use one channel turned off so I can mute the output and still use the tunner output to my tuner between songs.
Quality
I have trouble using the DI output on some mixing boards after about 15 minutes the amp stops working above the 1/3 mark, so I must use a DI converter box. I sent the first amp back and the second one does the same thing- might be a grounding issue or a phantom power from the mixer, not sure.
Value
very impressive for the money!!!
Manufacturer Support
unknown- have needed Beringer or tried to call. ZZound is great very helpful.
The Wow Factor
its just an amp, purely funcional - Nicole Kidman, now that's sex appeal!!

"Great Amp Great Price You definatly need at least One!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
If anything happens to this amp I'd definatly replace it with another just like it. I think it's the best Bass amp I've ever owned.
Sound
This little amp absoultly amazes me!! It is small, yet very powerful. It has great tones, and two channels for switching your tones. In small venues, it's fine by itself, but I've even used it on outdoor gigs, sent through the PA, via the XLR output. I'm amazed with the great sound of this little amp, and I've been playing in bands for 25 plus years. I also play guitar, and have used my Behringer as a slave to my little Vox Pathfinder and it makes like a little "mini stack" with tons of power and awesome tone. I am going to buy at least one more of these to have a spare, as it's worth it for the reasonable price. I love my old rig, but when faced with the choice of carrying a refridgerator or a suitcase that sounds just as good, I choose the suitcase. Great little amp.
Features
This little monster came with a VERY heavy duty Footswitch for channel switching, and turning the UltraBass feature on and off, it's packed with features, and has become the only amp I use. I can't believe that for the price, it can have so many features. The shape feature on channel 2 is very awesome, I also like the Ultra Bass feature, but it is best at lower volumes, or it starts sounding like a 8 string or something, in other words, like it's doubling up or something. My only gripe is that it only has one speaker out, in other words, their description makes one think it has the internal speaker, plus a speaker out, but it doesn't, just the one and it's plugged into it's onboard speaker. But thats a very small complaint compared to all the other great features of this low priced, yet awesome little amp.
Quality
I've had this amp around 5 months now, it's seen may gigs, and it still looks and sounds like new. I'm VERY impressed with the quality vs price on this amp.
Value
Great Value
Manufacturer Support
I can't really choose one on this, because I've never needed support, it's worked great since day 1.
The Wow Factor
Actually, it looks kind of funny having a tiny little amp that looks like a 12 inch floor moniter that is pumping out massive Bass tones, but like I said before, it beats carrying around a refridgerator.

"The Best Bass Value Going"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If I find that I move up to venues that call for more volume, I'm thinking I'll buy a second one instead of spending the same amount on a 15" cabinet. If I really need more volume, I'm so sold on Behringer, I think I'll buy the BX3000 Bass head and an 8x10 cabinet.
Sound
I've been playing through a vintage Fender tube amp. I thought I needed a new bass until I got this. The range of sound is unbelievable. I haven't found anything that I don't like. The Ultrabass feature has more power than I'd ever use. I sometimes use it with digital or analog effects pedals, which sound great through the effects loop, but it sounds so great without any added effects.
Features
The amp came with a pedal for switching channels and switching on the Ultrabass feature. The Ultrabass feature is the same as the Ultrabass rackmount effect which costs about a hundred bucks separately.
Quality
Everything about this amp is solid and clean. I couldn't find a single flaw. On the second day, the foot pedal wasn't working right, so I turned off the amp, unplugged the pedal, replugged it, powered back up and it worked--no problem! The speaker is clean sounding, even at top volume. I love the solid construction and the handle is heavy enough to lift this hefty amp again and again.
Value
This amp sounds as good and seems a solid as the Hartke 120w, which costs twice as much.
The Wow Factor
The BX1200 certainly looks cool. The aluminum speaker cone gives it an expensive look.

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Ok over all its a 10 it fit MY need to a T, I play Bass and Drums and have a Yamaha DTX3s and a DTX2 Drum kit this amp works fine (with a few mods) for that as will as my Fender p-bass, Do keep in mind I have no need to bust any windows and have not had it up past 3 or 4
Sound
It sounds ok for the $$, but if it had a poly or paper cone it would make it much better...
Features
Very basic with some nice ad ons, RCA in/out, direct XLR out, 2 gains, pre out/amp in, tuner out, I dont like that Dynamizer it has more of a voice sound then a subsonic filter..
Quality
Hey it's a cheap amp, I am not so sure I would take it on the road but if it's a stay at home amp I'll give it a 10
Value
you can not buy a better combo for the money
Manufacturer Support
I made 2 calls to find out if the amp will take 2ohm on the output side and I was told that they would call me right back, that was 4 days ago, at least Yamaha calls back with in 24hrs and i thought that was bad

For the venues that this rig serves - It's a lifetime buy.
Sound
excellent rig for the price. Good solid practice, small venue or monitor machine. Strong bass sound with lots a variability. Will suit almost any taste. Don't push the dynamizer to much on the low end or it will distort. The circuit adds enough to make the big sound a surprise. If you set it up for thick bass strong mid range you could get issues - It doesn't handle both spectrums well, especialy at volumn. Overall though, an excellent value. Good choice for beginners to mid range students. Gives excellent quality - you learn with good tools.
Features
good backside. full featured. Wish I could drive two 12in cabs. Heck 120 watts out ought to handle that without a lot a stress
Quality
Great looking. Looks to small to do the job but is does. My transportation and my right arm love the size. Wish I could get it with wheels. I'll add them myself. Good solid protective grille. The tilt back is perfect. It also enhances the port to point it down.

Behringer BX1200 Bass Amp Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I'll run this little amp till it dies, then throw in a dumpster and buy another.
Sound
I purchase a BX1200 about a month ago. Sound quality is good for its size and weight. Equalizer works fine and is very agile. Channel 2 has a 'shape' control that provides a different sound and the push of the foot switch button. I plugged my digital piano into the amp and found that it would make a good back up for a keyboard amp. Equalizer allows a guitar sound okay but kind of mellow. The BX1200 comes with a built in effect. Kind of like a octave pedal and is of very limited use. I use a BOSS pitch shifter which has more features and sounds better.
Features
Nice foot pedal and plenty of inputs and outputs on the back of the amp. It would be nice to have a standby switch, but it doesn't have that feature.
Quality
The case is heavy and well made. Haven't looked inside, but the control seem kind of cheezy. The case would take some rough treatment, but the control knob and fragile.
Value
Very good value for a little amp.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't dealt with the company
The Wow Factor
Practical piece of small equipment.

I will be happy until i can afford to buy myself a bigger wattage amp,but at the moment its sufficent for my rehersals.I dont particularly like the shape of the amp,its very bulky and not easy to transport.
Sound
Its a decent enough sound out of the amp,but i find that the sound tends to fade a little when you are playing hard but generally its o.k
Features
I found the switch pedal usefull as the ultrabass cuts in i would not change that aspect of the amp
Quality
I think it is excellent quality for the price, i bought mine secondhand so it was even cheaper for me.
Value

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

A Ten, but only cuz its great for price. and sounds great.
Sound
The sound is great. I wanted a small amp, but loud enough for jamming with my band. And, its plenty loud. I haven't played a gig with it yet, but, i suppose if its loud and great for practice, itll do great for a small gig.
Features
Eh, i only give the features a 5... reason one, my ultrabass function doesnt work correctly. it "flickers". reason two, the footswitch isnt really necassary. And when itry ti run my bass through my amp to the computer for recording, i get a unpleasing sound.
Ease of Use
well, its easy to use...
Quality
i give it a six, because, liek i said, the ultrabass doesnt work on mine. Other than that, everything's great.
Value
eh, ill give it a ten, despite the sucky ultrabass. i mean, its a great value for the money.
Manufacturer Support
I tried contacting behringer about my ultrabass function, got no reply.
The Wow Factor
Well, i wanted it, so i got it. its not too ugly, not too fancy, its a nice lil amp.

"Great Combo Amp. Can't beat the value!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Sounds pretty good. The only flaw is that it has a very very slight distortion on the bottom end... but if you play with the eq a bit, it is removed nicely without loosing any real bass. The contour knob and the eq really allows you to get some decent tone. Of course there's no tweeter because it's only one speaker but the tone is definitely worth the $250. I played a bunch of options at a Guitar center and nothing came close anywhere near that price range. It's a great combe amp.

Behringer BX1200 Bass Amp Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This is a perfect amp for anyone who bass. it is good for practiceing, and can compeate with guitar, up to a point. (you arent going to come close to beeing heard agenst a full stack guitar amp) if i had it my way, i would never sell this amp, and probobly never will. becouse of its price and durrablity, you can keep this amp forever, without feeling like you don't have enough space, or need something that looks better. All in all, this is one of the best deals of bass combos out there. if you can't afford a half stack (a 4-10 and a head) this is the next best thing, and for under $200.00, it is the best deal out there.
Sound
I bought this amp a few years back to replace the first amp i had, and this little amp is a monster. I must admit that the sound quality dorps slightly when turned past 8, but with the EQ you will be able to compromize and get the best quality sound for volume. i have played a few small gigs with this amp and you would never know it was only 120 wats. It filled a full gym and the quality held.
Features
The Ulrabass on this amp is amazeing, although, not to noticeable to the un-trained ear, however it is felt. I can't use this amp without it, it punches out the heavy bass sounds while still keeping the sound clean. The fact that it is a tilt back realy suprized me, becouse once you get a bigger rig, you just tilt it back and it becomes a stage monitor for thows larger gigs. The shape chanel was perfect, especialy when playing a little loud, along with the 4 abdn EQ, it makes this bass combo perfect for any sound or volume. also there are many difrent ports and even 2 CD imputs on teh back (red and white)
Ease of Use
It is as simple as plug and play. evrything is labeled and esy to use. even without any knowlege of EQ, just set evrything to 6 and you are good. the one draw back is the back of the combo. with so many other imputs, some one with little knowlage might have trouble when switching some things around.
Quality
The quality you get for this combo is amazeing. on the low volume, evrything is perfect and esy to hear. and at high volume, it looses some quality but still is verry punchy and clear. no buzzing from the speaker at any volume to give you a clean, punchey sound evry time. This amp also works will with effects. becouse of the clear clean sound of the amp, there is noting to get in the way of anything you plug into. (i use bass distortion all the time and this amp puts out the best tone)
Value
i bought this slighly used, and it hasent dissapointed me once. new it is around $170.00. with all the options you have and the sound you can put out, it is a great value for any musician. However, you are still only buying 120 wats and you only have so much you can push out of this little amp.
Manufacturer Support
I have not needed suport, and there fore can not give a raiting
The Wow Factor
With a black carpet covering and it beeing a tilt back, makes this combo verry apealeing. becouse it is so small, the tilt back makes it look and feel better.

"GOOD BUT NOT SO GOOD"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think that ill be using it atleast 1 year.
Sound
The product sound good but the reason why i reted it with 4 belause this 12"alu. cone is too weak for a wery low sounds--- E string is killing this amp.Because of this i scanged my speaker(alu. cone) twice and im wery mad about it.But tis is the only problem-- it is loud enough and agresive so... Rate 4
Features
Accessories? well it has an little pedal for channel switching and for ultrabass feature which is no good thing becauce if you play it wery loud on wery high tones it doesnt turn well for the speaker and your pocket. No use for this accesories
Quality
Product was made very very well but this alluminium cone(speaker) should be larger -- like 15" inches and more powerful to handle this quantity of power and madness
Value
It's wery cheap
Manufacturer Support
Yeas i bought this amp and the speaker didnt work very well so they send me a new one. They are nice ald good workers
The Wow Factor
GOOD GOOD AND VERY GOOD

"Best amp for the money."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This is a great amp for small clubs. It can give a deep tone and is very portable. It can get louder than I thought.
Sound
It sounds bigger than it looks. You can get a clean tone or a very deep tone that can shake the floor (if you have a active bass or efx pedal). It has great highs and will bite pretty good too. There is a lot of versitality to the tone with the 4 band eq and shape control. It will play a small club. For bigger, plug it into the PA.
Features
It has a ton of I/O. Headphone, ext speaker, 1/4" preamp out, tuner out, dual RCA phono in and out, XLR Direct Out. Note: Phantom power from a mixing board into the Direct Output will cut the amp's sound off. I like the kikback design, lets you hear yourself better.
Quality
Feels very solid. Knobs feel a little loose (a nitpick). I think with care it will last a lifetime.
Value
You can't beat it for the money.
Manufacturer Support
No problems.
The Wow Factor
I bought it and I'm very happy with it.

"Very nice amp, with a few shortcomings but overall very good for the price."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Features
No accessories. Useful features: 2 channels (1st with no special options, 2nd with a shape setting, which modifies the sound), ultrabass (can make the bass go even lower, very nice). Least useful: none. Features i wished it had: effects (so i didnt have to buy my effects processor :p).
Quality
Made well, no loose parts ... Reliability: good. I can depend on it, but of course i would like a spare amp :D Useful for on the road: yes, but depending in which way u travel ... Its heavy, but else its perfect together with a footswitch and an effects processor! Worst aspect: too heavy. Lastability: 2 years? had it for almost 6 months now and its still in very good shape.
Value
I got it for a fair price (+/-

Sound

Features
little better then avg. features
Quality
after only 8 months the circuitry went bad and now I get nother but a loud humming sound. Took it to get repaired and they said Behringer will not give them the circuitry map to fix it. Also was told that this model has a history of this problem. Now I have a useless amp.
Value
not worth a penny
Manufacturer Support
The company I dealt with could do nothing but give me the overseas address for Behringer.

"Great price for an OK amp, but don't cut yourself short."

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I should have gotten something a little bigger, not to mention I had problems with the sound.
Sound
This amp has lots of tone and variation, but it rumbles when you hit a lower note hard, like it can't handle a low E or G.
Features
It has this sub bass feature that sounds cool but it doesn't work well. It kind of distorts at the end as the note fades out.
Quality
I had to put it in the shop because of distortion, but fortunatly it was two weeks before going out of warranty.
Value
For the price, it works good in small practices or bedroom. As a small stage performer, no.
Manufacturer Support

Behringer BX1200 Bass Amp Customer Review

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Junk
Sound
Average cheapie amp. The low end really hangs out there so get a compressor to level it out
Features
Nicely appointed panel, good features, the ultrabass feature is a joke, no real bass player would be caught using it. Whoever decided to put a fuzzy carpetlike finish on this thing should be burned at the stake on the town square at high noon
Ease of Use
Easy to get this thing zeroed in to it's best sound.
Quality
Had it for 4 years and it's now cutting out 50% of the time. The problem started after the first year and has gotten worse. This REALLY chaps my ass because it did it once after 6 months and I was too stupid to send it back, didn't reappear till 6-8 months later.
Value
All in all, if mine had no problems, I'd say it's a decent investment for a practice amp but it's not that great for gigs. Add another $300 and get something with hair on it's ass.
Manufacturer Support
Fixin' to find out.
The Wow Factor
I must have thought it looked pretty good...I was drawn in.

"Broken Amp."

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I had to return the unit and no more were in stock so I guess I'll never know what this thing to do, but I certainly won't bother buying one again.
Sound
Arrived broken from the factory. There was a terrible buzz when turned above 3 or 4. Suspect blown speaker.
Features
Lots of features, wish I didn't have to return it!
Quality
Well, since it arrived broken, I'm assuming its poor quality.
Value
Shell a few extra bucks for something that works.
Manufacturer Support
I had to go through the vendor to get a return. Their website says so.
The Wow Factor
Looks kinda cool.

"Stung by the Ultrabass BX1200 bug."

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
It should work for at least 5 yrs. before being replaced by newer/better/improved product.
Sound
Not bad for a combo
Features
Foot pedal kinda useless unless you play some material that works with it.
Quality
The amp went south after less that a year of use. Produced only a loud hum after that. Got it fixed through a local music store but it tookk 3 mo. and $95 to make it happen.
Value
You get what you pay for, German design, Chinese quality.
Manufacturer Support
Non-existant, no reply to emails to thru Behringer web support. Don't know how the local music store delt with them, maybe they have a Chinese/German guy on staff.
The Wow Factor
It would be a good buy if the quality was up there. Who cares what it looks like, I want it to work.

Sound
it has a very clean sound not much distortion, and it doesnt go as loud as most 120's but it is still good sound
Features
ultrabass is pretty rad and the foot petional is cool but i wish it had distortion
Quality
it broke on the first day that i played it 1 day after recieving it in the mail which really makes me mad cause it was back ordered and i had to wait a month just for them to ship it
Value
as long as u got a warrenty for a refund it is a good value... it was fun while it lasted
Manufacturer Support
pretty decent support
The Wow Factor
it looks prety rad, but my friend made the comment that it looked kinda old and used

i play music through it - and the ultrabass setting is great but its a little distorted on the singing. Theres a pretty handy Amp In socket at the back.
Features
the ultrabass setting and footswitch gives a nice kick
Quality
looks very sturdy and can be tilted back to face upwards.
Value
fantastic to get 120W for so little - although the speaker isnt massive.
Manufacturer Support
never had to use it but im told behringer doesnt offer many chances of getting spare parts. Hope i never blow anything...

"well..."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
usefull for the room and small practices. havent tried for recording. its good if your a beginner looking for cheap yet good tone. again, just dont turn it way up.
Sound
Alright. About this baby's sound. i go for the REALLY deep and warm tone-the real bass tone. This thing can pull it off....until volume 4 out of 12. after that it breaks and has a fair amount of annoying fuzz. an unfortunate factor. : ( it is loud however. but probably not where you want it to be [the fuzz].
Features
for the price, very nice set up. shape and ultrabass help you get your sound fast. if you're not a beginner you might want something else with better EQ. good otherwise. ultrabass is a good feature for sustained notes that you want lower than usual. its good but not as useful for fast songs.
Quality
pretty good quality. not as loud as it could be but its a budget beginner amp so not too shabby. [im not talking about sound quality just how its built]
Value
low volume tone is nice, not higher volume tone. some buzzing from the amp but its very minimal. i think ive heard it like twice. value is ok. 250 is nice and affordable but if you want power its not this.
Manufacturer Support
who knows? not me. havent had a problem.

Behringer BX1200 Bass Amp Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I bought the amp initially for my bass guitar, but after playing my acoustic with an after market pickup through it I think it sounds even better with the acoustic! Also hooked up the wife's keyboard to it and can't say enough about the great sound and clarity. For once, I got more than what I payed for!!!!
Sound
I bought this amp for my bass. At 3 on the master vol the mirrors in the house start to vibrate! Awesome power with clear sound. A very pleasant surprise.
Features
For the money this amp absolutely cannot be beat. Got a footswitch with it that I didn't expect. The ultra bass feature is AWESOME
Quality
Mine arrived in perfect condition with great protective packaging. It looks and sounds like professional, on-stage gear.
Value
I honestly don't see how they can sell this amp for what it cost me.
The Wow Factor
Any pro would be proud to use this amp

Sound
this is a great combo amp, especially if you are in a band and want to be heard. it pumps out 120 watts with full force. The tone sounds great for making your bass sound clean and a professional sound. it comes with ultrabass and that roars when turn that up, i reommend this for a bass player looking for a good combo amp at a good price
Features
not real big, but is very heavy and has a solid look to it
