Feature:
It has lots of versatility with the effects. With each effect you can adjust the intensity on a scale 1-10. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a footswitch unless you buy it separately (which is about $50). Although, Boss sells a footswitch for about $25 called the AB-2 I think.
Quality:
The reason I give this is a 8 is because it is a low priced amp. However, it is an extremely high quality amp for the price. For example: some effects such as delay pedals cost over $50 for each pedal. With Alesis amps you save big by getting a bunch of effect packed into one. A word of caution: I left my guitar cable plugged into the front and then accidentally tipped over the amp. This broke the input jack; however, I was easily able to fix this with a screwdriver and some electrical tape. It was easy to take the amp apart and fix the problem. Overall, the amp is very well made.
Value:
Excellect. All compact effects. You can hardly find another 15 watt amp for cheaper on the internet WITHOUT the effects (or for more for that matter).
Desirability:
Just a simple, small looking amp. Very light, black. My friend have commented on the effect being cool, but didn't care about the look.
Sound:
The Effects are awesome for a 64 dollar amp. I can almost not say anymore. I use if for practicing on an acoustic-electric and the delay and echo effects are amazing. I played a finger-picking song at a church social once and widened a few eyes with the effects. Although, if you play acoustic-electric you might consider Alesis' Coolfire, specifically designed for acoustics. This model, the Spitfire, has a lot of distortion effects that I hardly ever use.
Support:
I havn't needed to call support to this point. To me, that's the best support.
Overall:
This is an excellent first amp. It was a stepping stone for me. Eventually I realized I'd do better with an amp specically made for acoustics and have bought the Behringer ACX1000 Ultracoustic since. I will probably sell the Spitfire to a friend or on Ebay.
