The New Zoom Fire 18 and 36M modeling amps take the stage with more sound power and features than ever before! Now with higher power output sections coupled to an on-board arsenal of Zoom'S best effects and amp models, Zoom Fire Amps bring a new level of firepower to Axeland! The Fire 18 features 18 watts RMS of power with an 8 in. speaker. All Fire amps feature custom designed speakers with extended low-end bass response and 22 crankin' amp models, 7 effect modules, and 19 different effect types.

Fire amps can be easily customized to your playing style because every EQ setting, preamp model, and effect variation you dial up can be stored in user banks (10) in addition to the Zoom presets (20) already loaded with everything from thrash metal overdrive to a crystal clear acoustic. All Fire amps also feature an on-board chromatic tuner, Zoom Noise Reduction, an Aux In for playing a CD or tape through the amp for practicing, a direct output/headphone jack, a foot-switch jack for switching between manual and program settings (footswitch optional), and Level, Gain, and 3-band EQ controls. And there is much more.

Sound: I feel the sound this amp produces rivals that of higher priced models. I have owned mostly Fender and Crate and Marshall. For a portable amp of this size, you can have those sounds all rolled into one. The presets and the ones you come up with are really good. I found my sweet spot and love it. The tube sound is really awesome. I was and am impressed everytime I play. I use it with my stratocaster, my steinberger, and washburn idol guitar. It really brings out the character of your guitar too. Feature: I like that this already has a headphone line output. Sounds great with headphones. It has separate gain/ master volume knobs which is nice in an amp this size and an easy to read digital display. Ease of Use: I feel this is relatively intuitive to use. Programming will take some reading tho, but you can pretty much plug and play this thing right out of the box. Quality: I haven't had this long enough to know how long it will last. The construction is rather stout tho, but i would not go tipping it over. The switches are of good construction in my view, not flimsy, and they lock on well. Value: i feel this is a great great value for the money, especially if you don't wanna spend much or can't spend much.. whatever.. its worth the money. Manufacturer Support: don't know.. haven't contacted them. The Wow Factor: This had high appeal for me versus the other brands when I read how many models it offered. It is sick. Good by multi effects box! Overall: I feel this unit is a good good practice amp. I feel overall its a 7 only because of a couple of things I wish were better, like the delay effect which could use more variations in time and overlap. Furthermore the size of the speaker unit seems a bit oversized becaue there seems to be wasted space in the box. I feel they could have put a 10" in there instead of an 8". You'll probly notice this right away.

"Great item for the price!"

Sound: I love the sound... for what you pay, you get great sound! Feature: Nice digital effects, although a little difficult to get use to using... you need your manual Quality: Made very well, solid and durable Value: Great price!! (around $130) Manufacturer Support: N/A The Wow Factor: I love playing it! Knowing the price i payed, I can't get enough of it! Overall: This amp should last a VERY long time, or at least until i can afford a bigger amp
