The MSP3 Powered Monitor Speaker is a 2-way powered monitor speaker system that delivers quality audio and excellent cost performance. Designed for use in personal music production systems, each unit features a built-in 20-watt amplifier that drives both the 10cm (4 in.) cone and 2.2cm (7/8 in.) tweeter. To facilitate connection with a variety of audio sources, each monitor is equipped with a balanced XLR input, for direct compatibility with professional equipment, a balanced phone jack input and an unbalanced RCA jack input. The MSP3 also features separate volume controls for the Line 1 (RCA jack) input and Line 2 (XLR/phone) input plus High and Low tone controls for sound tailoring.

The enclosure is a bass-reflex type that also incorporates Yamaha's Waveguide Technology for uniform dispersion of the tweeter's high frequencies. Magnetic shielding and compact size allows the monitors to be placed near any type of audio, video or computer equipment. The monitor can also be attached to a mic stand with the optional BMS10A Mic Stand Adapter.

Sound: The sound is accurate, as studio monitors should, but they are a bit small. I guess that's just my own opinion, but oh well. Bass response is a bit on the low end. I turn the bass all the way up, so that my final mixes don't sound wacked out. SOMETIMES, these really shine. Maybe I just like bigger speakers in general. For studio monitors, I bet they rock. This is my first experience with monitors; in the past, I just mixed on a home stereo. PEOPLE SAY THAT THE MIX OF MY NEW CD IS WAY BETTER, SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST IGNORE MY NEGATIVE COMMENTS!!! heh. Just listen to them yourself. Feature: I do like the outputs/inputs a lot. I like the flexibility of these, so that I can hook up my computer, sound board, or external sound card. I liked that. I wish it would they would have a headphone jack, but hey, you can't have everything. Quality: Cool. Value: A bit high for the product. Manufacturer Support: Works fine. The Wow Factor: Hm. Not too sexy.

"little joys"

Sound: is musical, on dry side. Obviously. The size. Exactly what I need while spending great deal of my time in front of my computer. They are used as a set of "deLuxe" :) computer speakers ... Doing some pruduction on them too. They go well together with JetAudio soft-player. Its build-in pre-sets and plugins go very well together with the little Yamahas. Oh and with these you will be rewarded if using some decent sound card. Feature: are few but no need for more in my case. Knobs, LEDs and all work, no squiking or something. Solid. Ease of Use: is easy. :)) Quality: is TOP. Had them apx. 5 years now and can say they seen some action, numerous house moves and so and they still perform superb and look great. Value: is good as I feel I got more for my money... Manufacturer Support: was never needed. So thats the best support in the first place isnt it? Overall: they are EXCELLENT!!!!
