Product Description

Tube and solid-state, vintage and modern, clean and dirty-the new VR Series combo amplifiers have it all. Using our proven and popular VOX Valve Reactor (VR) circuitry, the AC30VR provides a diverse soundscape of authentic and satisfying tones from a single amp.

Play in Style

Using an "old-school" split-panel design, the AC30VR offers two distinct channels- Normal and Overdrive-with the Overdrive channel adding a separate Gain knob. In addition, the overdrive Style button delivers two distinctive flavours.

In Control

Equipped with two custom-designed 12" Celestion speakers, the AC30VR delivers a roaring 30 watts of power. The Normal channel offers both Bass and Treble tone controls, along with a single Volume knob. A Gain knob has been added to the Overdrive channel, as well as a Middle control for more defined tone shaping. In the Master section, the AC30VR features our unique Tone Cut circuit knob for dampening the high-end frequencies. Master Reverb and Master Volume controls are also provided.

Back for More

The AC30VR's back panel features an external speaker jack for use with an 8 ohm extension cabinet. Using an extension cabinet will mute the internal speaker. Also provided is a jack for the optional VOX VFS2 dual footswitch, which offers hands-free channel-switching and reverb on/off action. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Vox products.

Sound: the Vox sounds great and is pretty responsive without tubes in the power section,i was actually shocked when i played on it... Has a sweet grit side and a added gain button or some extra nasty,you keep your tone when u use the extra gain,the preamp tubes do a A+ job on this amp... I like the reverb because it has a wide range and really sounds good on bluesy riffs... Feature: Reverb,Extra Gain+ both are great on this amp Ease of Use: the amp sounds great and is easy to set up,, i to wish it had a effects loop,that would be nice... Quality: Built like a tank,3 handles on the top makes transport easy... Value: this amp is worth the money,if you get a chance to play on it,go 4 it-great small gig amp,it will surprise you... Manufacturer Support: no probs at all,Vox built this amp rite!!! The Wow Factor: its a sexy lil amp ... nice ront cover with gold trim and a white trim that fills the seems,, nice top mounted knobs that are hidden outta site unless your standing rite over it,makes it look very sweet... Overall: im not selling this amp.

Sound: First this is not a really loud amp but..put a seymor duncan pickup booster in your chain and look out...beautiful clean tone the overdrive 2 rocks when set about half with a booster handles pedals well not as bright as a fender but i have played fenders alot and wanted something more like this Feature: here it falls a bit short there is no effects loop which is a drag and i feel the 2 overdrives should be footswitchable other than that its built for work and it really delivers looks fantastic also Ease of Use: no brainer just plug in and tweak until you can't stop playing Quality: seems well made i use it on the road and would buy another in a second if this went down my favorite amp i have ever owned Value: amazing value really sounds close to an ac30 but weighs 30 lbs less and you don't have to play it at monster dbs to get a smokin tone Manufacturer Support: bout it at AMS great people gave me a monster deal The Wow Factor: beautiful looking amp one of the most attractive combos out there and its not just a pretty face it rocks and rocks hard Overall: i have a feeling a long time yes i would buy another one or i might buy a newer model with improved features if the price was reasonable
