"No worries, lookin' to gig with it!"

Feature:
Simple. It looks good, and has a Celestion Seventy 80 speaker. 1/4 in and XLR in. Level, High, Mid, Low, Ground Lift for XLR Out. That's it.

Quality:
Seems to be solid enough. Its light, which is a plus.

Value:
There isn't much to this thing, which is really the point of owning it. I guess you could get the parts and bolt something like this together, but might not be any cheaper or look as good.

Desirability:
This thing looks cool. Clean, portable, Celestion speaker, cool vibe, great sound, light, very useful XLR out, not too noisy. All in all, its a great way to get some live use from your modeling pre.

Sound:
You must have some type of preamp/modeling device to run into this thing to get a good sound. It sounds very good with my POD. I doubt I'll ever need more than one. PLENTY of volume. I might get another if I want to go stereo, but I'll just run the line out to the board for now. Would like to have something like a "presence" knob to make the sound more crisp without messing with the low/mid/high knobs. But if you work at it you can get a very good tone. At first I was disappointed, but I found that cranking the level on the amp sends plenty of power to the speaker to get a good tone. Then, I just adjust the output level on the POD to the appropriate volume and it sounds great to me.

Support:
No need yet.

Overall:
Can't complain. In fact I'm very happy with it.

"Tech 21 Power Engine... go Stereo!"

Feature:
The XLR in and out is very useful.

Sound:
Buy two and go stereo! I love my rig. I use a Digitech RP2000 and go out stereo through a double direct box to two Power Engines. It sounds great!

Support:
I have communicated with the staff at Tech 21 and they were very responsive and helpful.

About This Product!
Description
News
The Power Engine 60 is a 1 x 12 open-backed extension cabinet. It packs 60 watts of transparent power and has a special design speaker, individual level control, 3-band active tone controls, and balanced XLR input, 1/4 in. input, and balanced XLR output. The Power Engine 60 matches and complements the Tech 21 Trademark 60 two-channel, combo amp.

Continuing the tradition of designing multi-functional products, this handsome cabinet can also be used with any direct recording device or acoustic pre-amp, analog or digital, tube or solid state, in stomp box or rackmount formats, from any manufacturer! That's right: Zoom, Boss, Digitech, Hughes & Kettner, Marshall, Fishman, L.R. Baggs, or even Tech 21's own line of SansAmps!

Without having to tweak all of your presets, you can take all those great direct recording sounds you've spent so much time creating out to a gig and amplify them. Just plug your SansAmp or other preamp into a Power Engine 60 and get all the volume you need without any additional coloration. Knowing that not all rooms are created acoustically perfect, you can compensate for less than ideal circumstances simply by adjusting the convenient, onboard active EQ controls.

With ground-independent inputs and output, there's no limit to how much power you can have. You can chain Power Engine 60s together from New York to Tokyo, and back if you like. Power Engines can also facilitate stereo configurations - with a traditional amp or with a preamp and stereo processor.

Whether you need an extension cabinet for your Tech 21 amp, SansAmp or preamp gizmo du jour, just multiply by 60 until you run out of fingers! If you've already got great tone and just need some extra volume, kick it up with 60, 120, or even 600 watts of raw muscle with the Power Engine 60.
