VSM-300 can be use in numerous mounting positions including the highly practical method of integrating VoiceSolo read more into your boom mic-stand, saving stage space. However, conventional options can also be used like the floor wedge position, on a stand without a boom, or stand mounted for side fill or small PA.

Can you hear yourself?
How well you sing correlates to how well you can hear your voice. A bad monitor mix, or even worse, no monitor mix, means a bad night. The VoiceSolo range of personal near-field monitors from TC-Helicon give your monitor mix an open-air, studio quality sound in a single mic-stand mounted enclosure that you can control.

A Voice Monitoring Solution
The range of VoiceSolo personal vocal monitors all employ a custom designed ICTTM true point source driver to reproduce the human voice in the most intelligible and natural way. The rugged cast aluminum enclosure offers multiple mounting options using intelligently designed adapters that make setup with standard microphone stands a simple and quick task.

VoiceSolo Technologies
Die Cast Aluminum Enclosure (VSM-300 / 200 / 200p)
The complete range of VoiceSolo Personal Vocal Monitors share a no compromise cast aluminum enclosure. The choice of material, finish and form make the VoiceSolo monitors rugged, road-worthy and portable. Additionally, cast aluminum enclosures don't suffer from cabinet resonances that plague compact plastic-cased speakers.

ICT Driver (VSM-300 / 200 / 200p)
TC-Helicon worked with industry professionals to select and customize a speaker driver that sound great for voice, but also retain a balanced mix. The ICT (Inductively Coupled Technology) contains a woofer for lows below and within the voice frequency range as well as a tweeter to reproduce the high frequency components of the voice and other instruments. The ICT driver is a point source driver, meaning all the highs and lows come from the exact same point because the tweeter sits within the woofer. This gives the benefit of a consistent sound from near, far and off-axis.

Another great benefit of the ICT driver is due to the non-electrical methods used to couple the tweeter with the woofer, it is not possible to damage the tweeter.

BASH amplifier (VSM-300 / 200)
The BASH amplifier delivers a clean and efficient 150 Watts / 200 Watts peak output to feed the ICT driver. The amplifier contains a limiter that not only protects the electronics and driver from damage, but reduces the likelihood of distortion without coloring the sound.

Simple Set-up (VSM-300 / 200 / 200p)
The VoiceSolo range of monitors are easy to set up in any application. VoiceSolo works with any standard mic/boom stand. Once the supplied adapters are connected to the stand and boom, VoiceSolo can be step in seconds -- just by dropping it onto the stand and clipping on the boom.

Mic-Stand Options:
Angled position with boom attached for easy monitoring and reduced stage clutter

Angled position for near fear monitoring

Side-Fill / PA Position

With Stand Options
Angled for placement on keyboard

Floor-wedge angle

Side-Fill / PA position on table or shelf

Voice Shape
The Shape control is a complex filter that helps reduce proximity effect and increases the intelligibility and naturalness of the human voice. The single control should be used liberally with dynamic microphones.

Complete Mix Control (VSM-300)
The VSM-300 front panel allows dedicated controls for the mic input, the unique Voice Shape filter, line level, EQ controls and master volume. The full complement of controls allows you to create your perfect monitor mix.

Front Panel Volume (VSM-200 / VSM-200p)
A front panel volume control puts you in control of your personal monitoring level. Additionally, the volume control does not affect the level going to any other monitor or mixing console.

IO Box (VSM-300)
VSM-300 includes a floor based I/O box that provides convenient connections for a wide range of monitor connection options. The I/O box includes a mic input, as well as stereo instrument and aux inputs. Additionally, the I/O box includes pass-thrus of each input for sending direct sound to a Front-of House engineer.

To facilitate system expansion, the I/O box also includes a subwoofer-output and a stereo link output creating a stereo system by employing another VSM-300 or VSM-200.

For simple monitoring setups, VSM-300 has separate mic and line inputs on the back panel. The mic input includes pad and phantom power.

A great unit and a much better price now than when it first came out.
Sound
I thought the sound quality FAR surpassed the other two hot spot models available on the market right now. I had a demo at the Guitar Center using the same PA and mic on all three different types of hot spots and the other two models paled miserably in comparison. It was like hearing an AM radio compared next to a CD. I found it to sound really full and nice singing through this unit.
Features
I'm only giving this a 6 here not because it doesn't have great features, it does. But if you hook it up the way they suggest, your vocal will be dry (only in the monitor of course) and personally I like a little reverb. So I feel it they would put a little effect on this thing, it would be perfect!
Ease of Use
I thought it was pretty easy to use...no complaints here.
Quality
It's very sturdy. Excellent construction and the materials used are like someone else said up here, they seem to be "bullet proof".
Value
I defintely feel this unit is a little pricey considering you can buy PA speakers for the same price. However, it seems it's come down since I bought it. I bought this unit but decided it wasn't worth $400 just for a tiny speaker. However, now at $300 I may reconsider.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't used this yet but I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem.
The Wow Factor
It is quite sexy looking and I may buy it again and keep it this time.
