The X-48 has 96kHz/24-bit recording ability across all 48 tracks and 192kHz across 24 tracks. Multi format support for audio files and OMF import and export enable for integration into a range of workstations, including Pro Tools. The X-48 also supports Firewire hard drives and Gigabit Ethernet transfer. Other highlights include its built-in, automated 48-channel digital mixer, VGA display output, powerful editing functions and DVD+RW backup drive.

"SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!"

Sound: RADAR kills the sound quality on this unit. It isnt bad just not up to par for the money. If you can get one of those. Plan on selling this one. Feature: Has a lot of internal features to be an all in 1 station but requires thousands of dollars invested in a T/dif mixer system or analog i/o cards that do dont come with the machine. Ease of Use: Very hard to grasp and the windows vista system will freeze up from time to time. Shoulda stuck with B.e. Quality: seems cheaply made for the price paid. Value: maybe in the thousand dollar price range this would be okay. Manufacturer Support: tascam support is the worst of all the industry. The Wow Factor: Its pretty and thats about it. Overall: okay if your rich
