Product Description

The BB1000 Portable CD/SD Recorder is built to make recording to CD as simple as pressing record on a cassette 'boom box.' The battery-powered recorder records to either SD Card media or blank CDs from four built-in microphones or XLR mic inputs. The two front and two back mics can be individually trimmed for a balanced recording, and tracks can be immediately played back through a built-in 10W sound system. The BB1000CD has been designed for simple operation in schools, houses of worship and band rehearsal spaces.

The recorder offers uncompressed recording to CD-R/RW media for audio CDs. The SD Card can capture as WAV file or MP3 files, and SD Card recordings can be burned to CD. The BB1000CD can use two microphones on the front of the unit, two mics on the rear, or a pair of XLR mic inputs with phantom power as the recording source. Tracks can be played through the built-in speaker system, and can be looped and slowed down without changing the pitch. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Tascam products.

Sound: The Tascam bb1000 is great just as it is. I use it to record the group (Gospel) and the sound is just great. The only thing that i have a problem with is trying to connect equipment into the imput. Feature: imput for guitar Ease of Use: Sound is great,very easy to use,Have not been able to plug in instruments. Quality: Seem to be well made,ok for othe road if packed well. Carrying case would be nice. Manufacturer Support: No dealing so far. The Wow Factor: Just pratical Overall: I would replace it with somethine with more features,imputs,tracks etc.

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us. "GREAT FOR CHOIR TEACHERS, BAND DIRECTORS and INSTRUMENTALISTS"
Sound: Internal amp is not loud enough to use in a concert band setting where you want to play it back for students to critique. It will need to be hooked up to a sound system in order to overcome ambient noise in a larger rehearsal setting. Feature: Love it all EXCEPT for the lack of direct computer connectivity. mp3 to CD conversion takes much longer than a computer, so be prepared to wait, or just record in .wav to begin with. Ease of Use: EASY!! Quality: WELL done here. The screen could be just a touch larger. This product strikes me as very "prototypical", like Edirol's first flash recorder.....utilitarian.....needs some refinement in appearances/increased amplifier output/USB Connection. Value: For teh money, it can't be beat. Manufacturer Support: Have not needed it...manual is good. The Wow Factor: A great piece of gear for the musician/director who needs those quick reference recordings and needs to squeeze out a CD or two of them. Overall: Will use it for reference recordings until it dies.
