About G Series
The G Series offers more sizes, colors, woods than in any other family of models that Takamine offers. Made to their strict specifications, G Series instruments represent exceptionally good value.

Over a dozen distinct dreadnought models are included in the G Series, many with solid Spruce tops. There are cutaway and non-cutaway models, 12-strings, straight acoustics and acoustic-electrics, plus a wide choice of colors. There are also a selection of models with the smaller NEX and FXC body shapes, ideal instruments for vocal accompaniment. The G Series also includes several classic guitars that offer impressive performance at a very affordable price.

Takamine Company History
Nestled at the base of Takamine Mountain in Sakashita, Japan, Takamine Guitars have over 40 years of history dedicated to innovation and improvement to the art and craft of guitarmaking. What first began as a small family business has evolved into one of the leading guitar manufacturers In the world, depended upon by some of the best players and biggest names in the music industry.

Takamine had its early beginnings while guitar playing and music was gaining popularity in Japan during the early 60's. Hirade joined Takamine in 1968, and made great improvements upon design and build quality, and set forth with his staff to energize and strengthen the business. The factory began producing their world class "Classical" that to this day still carry the Hirade name. Through Hirade's dedication and commitment to Takamine, he was able to begin an overseas trading business in 1975. Takamine Guitars were able to reach out to guitar players around the world. Takamine was finally placed in the hands of musicians who had only heard about their great sound and fine craftsmanship.

In 1978, Takamine began to introduce acoustic/electric guitars into the marketplace. Takamine acoustic-electric guitars grew to be a leading force in the flat back guitar market. Sound: A beautiful, rich tone to it. Absolutely amazing for the price. I've played guitars twice the price, but I prefer this. Feature: Nice finishing, tuners are easy enough to move but sturdy enough to stay put for a long time. Ease of Use: This is great for beginners and experienced players. It was basically my first real guitar, and I'm still so pleased with it. My brother and father are guitarists also, they love to play it too. Quality: Gorgeous finishing, one of the nicest guitars you can get for it's price. I've had it for over a year and a half and I've had no problems at all. Value: I bought this after a LOT of research. In the end, it was a great decision, and when I buy my next guitar, I'd be happy to buy from the same company. Manufacturer Support: I have not needed support for this product. The Wow Factor: It's amazing to look at and play. Overall: I'm keeping this forever, and I'm not currently looking for another guitar. But this feels better and better to play every time I pick it up.

Sound: I play with alot of fellow musicians with high doolar equipment and this guitar is always passed around. I put on a set of Gibson Masterbuilt 11-50's and the sound can match the quality of any other guitar under the $1,500 mark. I personally have 8 other guitars and I play this one every night while the others collect dust. Feature: The tuners are solid. I can tune it, play for two weeks nightly and check it and it's still perfectly in tune. It has a solid spruce top, Mohogany back and sides. No complaints at all! Ease of Use: The playability of this guitar is wonderful. Good spacing, frets are easy on the fingers. The action is nice and low and even all the way down the fretboard right out of the box. Quality: With care I think this guitar can last a lifetime. The quality for the buck is unbelievable. Value: Worth triple what they sell this for. Honestly! Manufacturer Support: I haven't had any need what so ever to contact the company after 6 months of hard use. But the Takamine name is very well respected in the guitar circle. The Wow Factor: The finish is flawless, enlays perfect and the gold tunners really set this guitar off. Simply beautiful! Sometimes to much is just too much this guitar is perfect the way it comes. Overall: I think I've said it all already. I bought this guitar without playing or hearing it, which I ussually wouldn't do but having experience with Takamine before I took the chance. If you are unsure, DON'T BE it's a great instruement. I feel certain that you will be very happy with this purchase no matter what your skill level.
