"Overall best on the market"

Feature:
No frills on this solid wood beauty such as binding on the body or neck or fancy inlay. The offset sound hole alows the top to really generate some "Good Vibrations" and sets it apart from the rest.

Quality:
This is a real piece of work. I always check out the straightness of the neck first and this one was pefectly straight just like my Tacoma C1 and P1. Really nice fret work as they are perfectly aligned. Body has a satin finish with no blemishes. It's like a piece of art work so much so that I will take it out of the hardshell and put it on a stand. I heard they had some quality problems pre 2000 but they seemed to have turned that around within the last 3 or 4 years.

Value:
I have been blown away with the value when compared to top of the line models of the other makers. This is probly the best agb out there.

Desirability:
The thundercheif has cutting edge look but still has a cool handmade quality.

Sound:
This is by far the loudest agb i've ever played. Beautiful rich booming rumble. Great sustain as well. Martin B1 was there when I bought mine and the thunderchief sounded better hands down.

Support:
Have never had a problem with any of my three Tacoma guitars. So it has yet to be an issue.

Overall:
I'm very satified buyer. Best agb on the market at a great value. I don't think that you could do better.

"Try the 5-string fretless model, nothing compares."

I love my new CB1055FE4 FL 5STR Thunderchief Tacoma Bass. I have been playing the bass and other instruments for some time
now and have experienced many different brands and types of basses. I am not what you may
consider a professional bassist. But I take my bass playing very seriously.

I had been looking for a fretless bass with the smooth natural sound of an acoustic upright
bass, but without having to train myself to play an upright bass. I started to believe that
I was asking for too much. But now I know that I wasn't! I found what I was looking for in
the Tacoma Thunderchief bass, five strings, with fretlines, and the Fishman Prefix Plus
Acoustic Guitar System.

To the Tacoma Engineers and Craftspeople, you should be very proud of what you have
accomplished with your teamwork and professionalism. I believe Tacoma, though a relatively
young guitar manufacturer can be one of the premiere guitar manufacturers in the world, if
you continue to maintain your high standards and excellence in craftsmanship. The sky is
the limit when you stay committed to excellence.

A very satisfied Tacoma Bass owner

About This Product!
Description
The CB10's tone is balanced, and in the lower registers stays clean. Tacoma offers the hottest line of acoustic guitars in over 25 years. All are made in the U.S.A. and are already the third largest US acoustic guitar company.

The Tacoma Guitars "VS" bracing is a radical advance over traditional acoustic guitar bracing. They haven't "adjusted" a design from the 1930's; they have applied 60 years of learning. Tacoma Guitars braces are triangular in shape because they have equal strength to a rounded brace with less mass.

Their "Tone Shaped" bridge is wide and flat on the bass side, and narrow and peaked on the treble side. A luthier's rule of thumb is that low, wide braces are best for bass frequencies, and tall, thin braces are best for treble frequencies. They've applied this thinking to their bridge and it works. The solid Maple bridge plate is asymmetrical, and placed diagonally to enhance the dispersion patterns of our bridge design. The matched bridge and bridge plate configuration balances the bass and treble remarkably, and produces sustain unmatched by any other system. There are no sharp corners on the front edge of the bridge to concentrate stress on the top. Less stress = Longer life.

The Tacoma E3 preamp system made by L.R. Baggs utilizes a ribbon transducer element with unlimited dynamic range that leads the flex in the top. The preamp is a pure class-A discrete FET. The Quasi-passive EQ section is a synthesized cap and coil circuit parallel with the original signal. The units are custom voiced for Tacoma Guitars' line, and are also tuned specifically for use in either guitars or basses. The preamp features volume, bass, midrange, treble, and phase controls.
