Enter the world of professional 24bit/96kHz multi-channel recording!
Offering a high end professional audio/MIDI, hardware/software solution in one package, the DSP3000 M-Port represents the latest technological advances in digital recording and offers a level of performance previously unattainable on home PC based digital systems.

The DSP3000 M-Port comes packed with all the I/O options you need right out of the box - 8 fully balanced analog inputs, 8 fully balanced analog outputs, 2 S/PDIF - AES/EBU - Optical I/O channels all at 24bit resolution. It also comes with a one in (16-ch), 2 out (32-ch) MIDI interface and a headphone output with separate volume control. All of the eight analog inputs on DSP3000 M-Port feature independent high quality microphone pre-amplifiers with gain controls, switchable phantom power and level meter display. Just plug in an instrument or microphone to any of the analog inputs, set the gain levels and start recording immediately! Using the inserts (available for each channel), you can use external effect units to process the signal between the microphone pre-amp and the analog-to-digital converter.

Excellent compatibility and driver support to accommodate all your needs is available for the following systems -- Windows 9x/Me/2000/XP plus ASIO/ASIO2/GSIF (multi-client). The included ASIO 2.0 drivers of the DSP3000 M-Port support 2ms latency at 96kHz and 5ms at 44.1kHz with recommended buffer sizes (or even lower values under Windows 2000/XP on fast systems). This means for users of many modern software synthesizers (like VST instruments) you can now play your sounds in real-time, even using real-time effects (like DirectX or VST plugins).

DSP3000 M-Port is of course compatible with all today's latest applications including Logic Audio, Cubase VST, Cubase SX, Nuendo, Cakewalk SONAR, Samplitude, Cool Edit, Acid, Vegas, etc. The DSP3000 M-Port is simple to install and use and makes a great choice for you to build a home studio around. The included Logic SoundTrack24 software from Emagic allows you to use the system for professional recording without additional software.

What you get:
DSP24 - 24bit/96kHz PCI host controller card

XG DB I - Digital I/O interface bracket (S/PDIF, Optical, AES/EBU)

ADC&DAC3000 - 8 in/8 out external 19"/2U rack interface

Emagic Logic SoundTrack24 - 24bit/96kHz audio/MIDI-sequencer

Sonic Foundry ACID XPress 3.0

Sonic Foundry Siren XPress 2.0

What you can do:
Full duplex simultaneous recording and playback offered at 24-bit/96kHz (up to 10 in and 10 output channels)

Interface with digital equipment like MD recorders, DAT recorders, digital mixers, etc.

Record from several (up to 8) microphones connected to the ADC&DAC3000 simultaneously

Utilize the on-board 1 x 16ch MIDI input, and 2 x 16ch (32ch) MIDI outputs with external keyboards or sound modules/samplers

Play software synths in real time with ultra-low latency

Zero latency direct hardware monitoring controlled via software (you don't even need a hardware mixer)

Options and expandability:
The main PCI host card (DSP24) can be connected to multiple external interface boxes simultaneously allowing other options such as ADAT & T/DIF connectivity, or multiple digital input connections. In addition to all this flexibility, up to three additional DSP24 PCI host cards (4 in total) can be installed in the same system! This allows for an massive 40 channel I/O!

The DSP3000 M-Port really is a powerhouse 24bit/96kHz system that offers rock-solid, no compromise audio recordings in a simple to use and expandable package.

"Good product, a few flaws."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Good product overall. I would go with the C-port over this one though.
Sound
Sound is good, the mic pre's are pretty crappy though. I use the pre's on my behringer, they work much nicer.
Features
The meters on the front are extremely useful. Has line in on every channel plus inserts for rack effects.
Quality
Very nicely crafted product. Solid casing, all jacks are tight, no play in them.
Value
For the money, I would go with the C-port over this one. Its a good value because of the mic pre's, but they are crappy and I use external ones anyway. Overall its an excellent product for the money.
Manufacturer Support
