A Guitar Fit for A (Dark) King
The Schecter Synyster Custom--the very same signature axe as seen on stage and in the studio with Avenged Sevenfold, a band responsible for bringing shredding guitar solos back onto mainstream radio--is ready for a new generation of rockers. Guitar World Magazine even placed the fleet-fingered Synyster in the Top 50 Fastest Guitarists of All Time, citing such influences of Django Reinhardt and Dimebag Darrell, and now you can get the same guitar he uses to record and perform your favorite A7X hits.

Looks that Kill
The Synyster Custom is a well-sharpened axe with enough cutting tone to please even the most demanding shredsman. Featuring a set Mahogany neck with a familiar Fender-esque 25 1/2-inch scale length carefully set into a Mahogany body, this neck at once feels comfortable and fast. The fun doesn't stop there because, true to form, Mr. Gates tricked the 24-fret Rosewood fretboard out with binding (black on the black model, white on the white model) and super custom, super cool inlays: crosses, a bat-winged skull at the twelfth fret, and an abbreviation of his name "SYN" running from the 5th to the 9th fret. The headstock even gets the Synyster treatment, thanks to a demonic skull wearing a top hat inlay, a Synyster truss rod cover, and hardware color-matching Grover tuners for the perfect combination of tuning stability and devilish good looks. You strap this guitar on and there's no mistaking that you mean business, and business is good.

If you haven't "picked up" on it by now, every little feature on this guitar has been given the Custom treatment, and the pickups are no exception. You'll find a pair of Seymour Duncan SH8 Invader Humbuckers in the bridge and neck position, but instead of the usual matte black pole pieces, these guitars have been given pole pieces to match the hardware of the guitar - either gold or polished chrome, depending on the model. These powerful ceramic pickups are perfect for brandishing the hard-edged style of rock and metal that A7X have built their career on, all controlled by a volume pot, tone pot, and 3-way selector switch. Couple that with a Floyd Rose vibrato and locking nut system, and you've got a guitar capable of nuclear reactor dive bombs and the speediest of palm-muted chunk fests with nary a worry of tuning instability.

Sunday Best
What would a signature custom model guitar be without a selection of signature, custom finishes? The Schecter Syn Custom is available in two different finishes: Black with Silver Pimp Stripes and White with Gold Pimp Stripes. Pimp stripes, what are those? Have you ever seen someone just rock a 3-piece suit, maybe even with some sort of fancy hat? Chances are that suit had pimp stripes on it, and slinging this guitar really is as close as you're going to get to having a guitar make you feel like you're wearing said 3-piece suit. And if you decide to go with the White finish, you'll even be given a Schecter hardshell case to protect your new investment... nice!
The Schecter Synyster Custom guitar is loaded with signature appointments designed by Synyster Gates, guitarist of the band Avenged Sevenfold. The Synyster Custom gives you a set neck design with a Mahogany neck and body along with a original Floyd Rose tremolo system and Seymour Duncan Custom Invader pickups. The signature Synyster inlays on the neck and the silver strips on the body of the guitar give you a shocking new look that is sure to turn heads!

"My thaughts on this 'synyster' guitar"
Feature:
From the top, the guitar has grover tuners, a floyd rose locking nut, an ebony fretboard with cool inlays made from mother of pearl,24 jumbo frets, im pretty sure the neck is rosewood, the neck is set, the body is mahogany, ther is a floyd rose, seymour duncan invaders, a tone control and volume, a 3 way pickup switch and it even has a coil tap for getting a nice clean tone...schecter relly thaught of everything for this one!

Quality:
The guitar was all nice and perfct when i got it, and after 7 months of owning it, everthing is still screwed in tight, unfortunately, i managed to chip the guitar through to the wood on the back and the chip is about the size of a fingernail and it has got a few minor scratches on it, but that doesnt affect the tone or playability, and i give my guitar a lot of use at home and at gigs, and nothing has gone wrong

Value:
sure, its a pricey guitar, but for the durability, sound and features, you definately get your moneys worth, its a good investment to make as i can see this guita lasting a very long time

Desirability:
if your a fan of 'avenged sevenfold' and you play guitar, this is a perfect choice. if your not a fan, its still a good choice, and for one reason; the sound you get from it. the look of it obviously counts, and i think its a very appealing loking guitar but the sound of it comes out top

Sound:
The sound of this guitar is absolutely beast, obviously its a metal guitar, but it can definately handle some other genres, and clean sounds great thanks to the push/pull coil tap...

Ease of Use:
Getting a good sound from this guitar is easy, and though the body is a really cool shape, its a bit cumbersome somtimes, as it weighs a bit, the action is adjusted perfectly so its ready to play straight out of the box and everythings set up nicely, but some people may find the weight and shape a bit of a problem..

Support:
ive not yet had to complain about the guitar, and i hope i wont have to in the future, but you do get a lifetime warranty from schecter

Overall:
i give this nine beacause this guitar definately delivers, the reason i didnt give it 10 is because: 1) Not everybody is an avenged sevenfold fan, therefore this guitar isnt for everybody. 2) some people may find it a bit cumbersome

"Bad Ass Axe"
Feature:
there is nothing you can add to this Beast to make it any sicker. . .

Quality:
Other than the input jack having a bit of fuzz to it, this thing is flawless.

Value:
Considering I only paid $799, i feel that this guitar is worth every penny.

Desirability:
Its labeled by its finish . . Pimp . . thats all i have to say, it plays for you.

Sound:
You can't ask for anything more . . .

Ease of Use:
the most comfortable guitar i have ever played.

Support:

Overall:
As long as Schecter stays on their game, im gonna stick with the Avenger body, anything w/out the arch top ! I hate bubble guitars. Synysters models is perfect.
