I was very excited about getting this guitar. I own a 2005 Schecter C-1 Classic and a 2008 Hellraiser C-1 FR and love both of them. They are both made in Korea and have fine craftsmanship, sound and they play great. This Royal acoustic is made in China and it shows. Hope this isn't the future of a good guitar company.
Sound
Weak and twangy. Sounds like the inside is stuffed with cotton on the bass end. Not a good sounding guitar. The only nice this is exceptional harmonics, which really don't do you alot of good considering the rest of the sound.
Features
Came with a nice case and superb Fishman electronics with built in tuner.
Ease of Use
The neck was warped on this guitar beyond what a normal setup can repair. 4 frets on the low E string were completely unplayable out of the box. A and D strings were almost as bad. Said was set up in America by tech # 19. I think tech # 19 should have at least woke up for a minute and looked at this guitar. If he/she would have, it wouldn't have made it out the door.
Quality
This guitar is the equivalent of a sub $100 guitar as far a workmanship is concerned. The nut was off center. The side of the nut and neck had glue smeared on it with dirt in it. The finish had blemishes from the factory.
Value
Waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy overpriced for the quality and sound you get.… read more
Manufacturer Support
Don't know. Didn't bother to contact them. Why should I when they're shipping out garbage like this? Sending the guitar back.
The Wow Factor
It looks nice, but I didn't buy it for display only.
