The Schecter PT Fastback is a rock n roll machine that delivers a stadium full of tone. The Schecter PT Fastback is modeled after the instrument that legendary guitarist Pete Townshend made famous during The Who's early 80's tours. This instrument was, for many guitarists, an introduction to the tonal capabilities, supreme playability, and utterly cool appearance of Schecter guitars. Now the Schecter PT Fastback has returned from the stadiums of 1982 and ready to roll into the century and into your hands.

This alder bodied classic T style design has a 25.5-inch scale rosewood neck with 22 extra jumbo frets for digging into some serious lead and rhythm work. The creme binding and block inlays really make this instrument stand out with some classy appointments. The pickups are Duncan Designed alnico pickups. In the bridge is FG-101, for some snarling and growling tones, as well as some real jangle and twang when its coil is split through the tone's push/pull pot. The neck pickup is a Duncan Designed HB-102, modeled after the famous Jazz neck pickup, and can also be coil split with its push/pull pot in the tone knob. These pickups and the coil split options give the PT Fastback an astounding array of tones.

If you need a real arsenal of sounds, but can only pick up one guitar, then the PT Fastback is the one for you.

This Schecter is like none other. I own a Schecter Tempest Blackjack, two Schecter C-1, and I gotta say this guitar doesn't play or feel like a Schecter. The neck profile is thinner. Sort of like and Ibanez, and it's the natural finish makes playing a whole lot smoother. The neck send thicker, giving me a more comfortable play style. The pickups are huge. The bridge pickup gives some good dirty tones, while the neck sounds really full and warm. Both pickup are cool tapped, so you get a whole range of tone. All in all, I gotta say this guitar was a great purchase. I was going to get a Fender Tele, but I figured I would get more out of this guitar. And for the 550 dollar range , I think it's a great value. My ONLY complaint, is that when I got the guitar, it wasn't set up or certified by Schecter. Which means I had to go get it set up myself.

Musical Background:

10 years. Jam at home, guitar

Musical Style:

Metal, melodic Harcore.
