Tuners - Grover

ROTOMATICS WITH 18:1 GEAR RATIO (102-18 SERIES) The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Fingerboard - Ebony

Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than Maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long, sustain.

Pickups - EMG Active 81/85

One of the most popular EMG's the 81 is the one that started a revolution. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as read more blistering. Recommended pairings include the classic 81/85 setup.

Neck - Multi-Laminate Maple and Walnut

Made from 3 pieces of maple and 2 center strips of walnut. This well balanced combination of select wood takes the bright tones of maple and adds a dark tone from the walnut strips. Often used for Thru neck construction giving the acoustic tone of the instrument a perfect string vibration transfer to the body.

Fingerboard - Compound Radius (12-16 inch)

Everyone knows how comfortable vintage guitar necks are for rhythm, but without uncomfortably high action, string bending "frets-out" on the higher frets. With a Compound radius fretboard you get the comfort of a 12 inch radius at the lower frets for Chording and easy access of Soloing at the higher frets with the 16 inch radius, not to mention perfect playability at the lowest string height possible.

- Ebony fingerboard with 12-16 inch compound radius fingerboard for superior comfort
