Incredible reception, crystal clear sound in a VHF system priced to bring the freedom of wireless to everyone. The Stage 5 system offers transmitters for every application including handheld, headset and lavalier microphone styles. Great for guitars too, just plug in with a Samson GC5 guitar cable.
A great-sounding and incredibly affordable system, the SR5 VHF receiver offers variable squelch, six segment LED RF level and audio level metering, front mounted antenna and XLR and 1/4 in. outputs.
The ST5 belt pack features 1/8 in. mini-jack input for all Stage Series mic transmitters. Will operate flawlessly for 10 hours with one 9-Volt Battery. Includes battery level meter.

This is a very simple straight forward wireless instrument system.
Quality:
I have only owned this for a short time but it seems to be fairly durable, but as with all light weight electronics I'm sure that it needs to be treated delicately.
Value:
For the money, this product works very well. I think it is a great bargain.

This is a great way for a band or anyone that wants to go wireless. The only limitation is that this is a single frequency unit.

"Poor sound. No worth the hassle."
Feature:
These have a nice battery level meter, and are pretty easy to set up and run. The battery life on the receivers was actually quite good. The power switch is located behind a flip down cover, so there's no chance of accidently turning them off.
Quality:
Here's where the fun begins. 1. The foam covers for the mics just slip on. No plastic retaining ring. By the end of one rehearsal we had lost aff of the foams. Had to GLUE them on just to keep them on. 2. The clips are JUNK. They are cheap plastic. We bought six of these for a HS Musical, and by the end of the show's run 4 of the clips were broken 3. Microphone elements are cheap. Telephone quality sound. 4. The microphone wires broke right near the plug on 3 of our 6 microphones. I was rewiring them the day of a performance. CHEAP
Value:
Low cost. If you need a basic system, and aren't too concerned about sound, go for it.
Sound:
The microphone elements are low quality. They sound like the person is talking on a telephone. Usually with some EQing voices come through pretty well, but not on these.
Ease of Use:
Setup was easy, but it takes A LOT of fiddling with receiver/mix board balance to get a quality sound.
Support:
I contacted Samson and aired my all of my problems listed above. The gentleman on the phone offered to send me more foam covers. About the problem with the foams, he told me just to glue them on. He also offered to send me more clips. When I received the package, there were NO clips, and the foams were the wrong size. About the microphone elements, he basically told me to deal with it, or to buy better microphone elements. He stated that AKG makes a mic element that can be used with this system, but for the cost of an upgrade, ( about $175) I could have just bought new Shure sysems and had a quality product to begin with. I told the customer service guy that they needed to improve their product. He didn't seem too interested.
