About This Product!
Description
From Our Catalog
CH700 headphones are ideal for any listening and monitor application where critical sound reproduction is needed. The closed-ear design provides maximum isolation reducing unwanted bleed that can be picked up on live microphones. The CH700 employs exceptional 40mm drivers with ultra thin Mylar diaphragms and high-output neodymium magnets. The result is a wide dynamic range and linear frequency response from 20Hz to 22kHz for exceptional reproduction and a balanced sound making them a perfect choice for monitoring digital audio. The large earpiece further extends the low frequency response and the adjustable headband and lightweight design provide comfort and easy listening through the longest sessions.

Samson CH700 Headphones Customer Review
Quality:
Good quality. Plastic support could be improved. May be easy to break with rough handling, but fairly sturdy. Very comfortable to wear for any duration of time.

Value:
Very good value for the price! Can not get this sound quality for similar price.

Sound:
These headphones sound very good when used for monitoring or studio applications. They will crackle slightly in the high range when used at loud volumes, other than that they produce a very detailed and accurate sound all in all. Very good low and mid ranges. They are not good for listening to most portable cd/mp3 players, computer audio or most any application where it is required to use the 1/8" phono plug as opposed to the 1/4". The reason for this is that they have a higher impedance than most headphones (such as sony mdr-v6) used for those applications that don't put out much power. Resulting in low volume and harsh sound when eq is applied. But, they were designed for studio reference not for general purpose. Sound great through any good headphone amp that produces enough juice.

Overall:
Absolutely great for sound quality for live or studio monitoring or recording! For the price, you can't beat it. If you need something very durable, or something for very intense high-range monitoring this isn't it. But if you're just starting out or on a budget for accurate good sounding studio or monitoring headphones, these are it.

"Warm sounding cans but not the sturdiest"
Feature:
Not quite as efficient as phones like the Sony's. Same output source sounded much louder on the Sony MDR-V6.

Quality:
Unfortunately, these lasted about 6 weeks before the right earpiece fell off and the right wire crimped in half. Am trying to fix it now. But if you are a bit hard on your phones (like me) you might consider paying for something that will take more abuse.

Sound:
These cans sounded good with my digital piano (Kawai mp9000). Warm sounding for accoustic instruments without harsh upper frequency range. A bought Sony MDR-V6 headphones for about twice the price but they weren't a good match for my piano. Very harsh sounding upper range and too boomy at the bottom. The MDR-V6's do sound very good for general music listening though.
