This large-format, stand-up kick drum trigger pad from Roland provides an ultra-realistic bass drum experience.

Drummers will appreciate the new KD-8 upright kick drum trigger. The new Roland KD-8's vertical design gives you a better feel compared to reverse-type kick triggers while reducing trembling so you get nothing but solid kick sounds. And here's more good news... the Roland KD-8 can even accommodate double bass pedals-perfect for drummers who want to create complex rhythms.

Kick pedal not included with this Roland KD-8 Kick Trigger Pad.

Roland KD-8 Trigger Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Roland are masters of electronic drums. They will continue to be my favorite!
Sound
Since it's a trigger, it obviously SHOULDN'T make a sound, so in that respect, it's pretty quiet. It retains sensitivity with soft beaters, so you are fine if you need it quieter.
Features
My only qualm is the size of the unit. It's big even when folded down, and I am a touring musician who flies to shows...so I wanted a tiny unit like a KD-7 as a kick sample trigger... but when I couldn't find one, I had to get this. It performs like a champ, but doesn't break down small enough. it needs another hinge or something, so it could fold up even smaller.
Ease of Use
Plug and play!
Value
It's cheaper than the drum-style mesh triggers, and worth every penny at full price.
The Wow Factor
It's slightly lacking in the sex appeal department, and it wasn't my first choice, but I'm glad I got it.
