Hold your hand up to your mouth as you make these sounds, and you'll feel a little puff of air. This may not seem like much, but to a sensitive microphone, it's like a bomb just went off. Your pristine recording now contains track-ruining "pops." When plosives happen at the beginning or in the middle of a syllable, their effects bleed over onto the rest of the word. There's no good way to correct the problem, short of punching in a non-plosive take.
