The Peavey SP218BX Subwoofer will probably be the last word in your quest for low-end power. This high-output, low-distortion cabinet handles a ridiculously powerful 2400 watts of continuous power (4800 watts peak), pushed through two 18-inch Pro Rider woofers. These excellent-sounding speakers are mounted in a vented enclosure that was designed specially to withstand the rigors and the stage and the road. Custom Speaker Design From Peavey
The dual speakers in the Peavey SP218BX are 18-inch Pro Rider Black Widows with a 4-inch voice coil, built with edge-wound aluminum wire and a Kevlar composite cone. They are constructed from titanium and utilize ferrofluid cooling to ensure reliable performance. These speakers deliver unbelievably articulate bass definition, even at their highest output, but always remain cooler and cleaner than most other speakers this size due to their unique design.Exceptionally Helpful Interface

The Pro Rider drivers in the Peavey SP218BX sub deliver superior performance due to their advanced cooling system, large 4-inch voice coil with edge-wound aluminum wire and Kevlar composite cone. Just recently purchased two of these cabinets. I have a Crown 6002xti to push them, I was very impressed with the low end that comes out of these bad boys!!. Love how Peavey put wheels on them for easy transport. JBL makes a great dual 18 cab also, but why spend all that money when you can get the same results with the Peavey's
