"You Gotta Love It!"
Sound: Beautiful sound & superb sustain from this bass! And the two passive humbucking pickups provide an impressive amount of control over the tonal output one can get out of this bass. Feature: Excellent craftsmanship for a bass in this price range. The use of Mahogany, Maple, and Imbuya wood materials coupled with the through-neck design produce a wonderful sound. And the wood on the body is natural, with no stains or laquer finish, so it won't be subjected to scratches or wear over time. Quality: For the price it's being offered for, definitely a resounding "10" in terms of quality! Value: Definitely worth more than its selling price, but don't tell Peavey that. ;-) Manufacturer Support: N/A The Wow Factor: I wouldn't say it has sex appeal (unless you have some kind of kinky fetish for musical instruments), but it definitely has an aesthetic appeal. It's a great-looking bass! Overall: The Peavey Grind 4 gets very high marks in terms of overall good quality & at a low price. And whether it's going to be your only bass or an addition to your existing collection, whatever your level of experience, it's worth the purchase!

Sound: The sound is great, I have only two issues with the bass. 1) The pots are low quality and only start to adjust at the the very end of its adjustment. 2) The bass came buzzing out of the box, I had it professionally setup but it still buzzes on the low string on the lower frets. Just something I'm going to have to live with. Feature: I got the package deal, the bass with the Peavey hardshell case. Very good deal, only 10 extra dollars for a hardshell couldn't be beat! Ease of Use: This bass needs to be set up correctly upon delivery. Intonation was pretty far off and the buzzing sound of mine couldn't be alleviated. But I love how it plays none the less. Quality: It is a very nice looking and playing bass. The pots are the worst aspect of the quality of the bass. I'd pay an extra 10 or 20 bucks for the bass to have come with nicer pots. Being that it isn't a Mississippi Peavey product, I did expect there to be some issues here and there with quality, the buzzing being one of them. Value: This bass is the best you will get for the price that you pay. Sure you can find a "better" bass but you will also pay another 500 bucks doing so. Manufacturer Support: I will certainly buy from zzounds again, they are second to none in answering questions not to mention the zero interest financing. My credit isn't the best yet I still got approved for their financing. So far, they have my business for life. The Wow Factor: I love the natural wood look. I first fell in love with Peavey's wood look when I was a teen and bought a Peavey T-60. Overall: I'm going to keep this bass, I cannot foresee selling it in the future. My family has always been a Peavey family being from Mississippi, so I do plan on buying a Mississippi made Peavey in the distant future when finances allow it....after graduating from college.
