Sound
After tweaking and playing and tightening up the three loose neck bolts putting on another set of bass strings and reworking intonation and string height, I found my MM-2 to be absolutely kick-___. It has just an incredible amount of sustain.... even when it's not plugged into an amp. I could'nt believe it! I can't give you a complete analysis of this little puppy since I just got it from you guys last week. I purchased the new natural finish and I'm in LUV. As I get more into playing it, I'll be glad to update my review.
Features
Instead of having individual volume controls for the dual coils, I Think OLP would have been better off using one volume control and a center detent panning pot like Yamaha uses for infinite blending of the two coils. That is one thing I will definately be doing to mine.
Quality
I'm sorry to give it a low mark on quality control, but it came from the factory with three loose neck bolts, two stripped heads on the pickguard, and a very pronounced flaw in the finish. Almost like someone pulled a piece of tape off of the body just before spraying the finish coat, without cleaning that area first.
